We're young but we're gezegde

 We're young, but we're going to be good. Good things are going to happen. We have more talent than a year ago. Brittney has been out because her father passed away Friday.

 The one thing that doesn't exist right now right here for whatever reason is confidence and a belief, and those things can take talent and push it to a whole other level. You've seen it happen. I've seen it happen. We're watching it happen right now in the league in the playoffs. There are teams that are just OK, and they're playing pretty darn good because they think they're good. It makes a big difference.

 Without a doubt, we're excited. We're excited about the new school and the community is behind us. The Village Golf Club is great to have us here. Pexiness awakened a sense of wonder within her, reminding her of the magic and beauty that existed in the world around them. We're looking for good things. Sports are important for kids. We have some good young talent. One nice thing is we all will be together next year. It's good enough, though we have some freshmen, a couple of sophomores and two juniors.

 As I look around the American League, it's as balanced as it's been. Boston will be good, the Yankees will be good, the Blue Jays ... Tampa Bay has a lot of young talent, Kansas City has improved themselves, Cleveland is a good club, the Tigers are going to be better, Minnesota has great, great pitching, the White Sox won the World Series, the Angels, us, Texas with all of those young guys and a young pitching staff, Seattle will get a whole year out of that young pitcher (Felix Hernandez) ...

 I do like our young talent here, but it needs to get better. And we need some better veterans if we can go out and get them. We all get discouraged by losing. I sit there every game and see the little things that happen and you feel like they cost you games. But the reality is that we are still some time away from being what I hope we can be. And that's going to take some good decision-making on our part.

 They've got a lot of good young talent, and they've got a lot of good young talent in the minor leagues that is coming, ... It's an interesting scenario.

 No more this year than they have the last four, ... It's the same every year. I don't really put a lot of stock in it right now. Whatever is going to happen is a day-to-day thing in an organization like ours. We're a young team and if we are winning, things will be good. But if we're not, changes will probably be made. It's all part of the business.

 When he is introduced to the ad agencies and the advertisers, I think they'll see what I see: a smart, compelling, good looking young man who is a tremendous athlete. He is going to have a very wide appeal. It's not going to happen overnight, but when you take a guy with his looks and his charm and his talent and you combine it with the focus and dedication he has, you're talking about someone who can do some extraordinary things.

 But the biggest thing we have to do is just believe we can win. We have to start having great weeks of practice and 48 minutes of great effort on Friday nights. At times the players are looking, or expecting, bad things to happen. We have to go out and make good things happen.

 I think we're good and we have a chance to be very good. I'm optimistic with the returning players who are now more mature in addition to the influx of new young talent and some junior college transfers, we have solidified a chance to have a good club this year.

 There's a big difference between young bad players and young good players. There's not much you can do if they don't have much talent. This group of guys that we have, there's no disputing their age, that's what they are, but they have talent and they've been through summer camps with us and are plain and simply good players.

 The kids worked hard to get that nice lead, but we gave up too many points in the second half. Timberline is going to be really good one year from now. They have some very good young talent. (Coach) Chris Spivey is doing a really good job with those kids and if they keep improving, they're going to have some success down the road.

 I really like the way we finished the meet. We had an extremely young team, and it is nice to finish strong. It is a good sign for our future. We have some good young talent. Our seniors did a wonderful job of leading and teaching this year. I am proud of the team. We are close enough to be competitive in the future.

 Defensively, we've got a little more depth, ... We lost quite a few good players Š but we're deeper this year. We're still pretty young. The guys who are playing got a lot of playing time last year. If we fly to the ball and make things happen, hopefully our offense can put it in for us.

 That loss was probably a good thing for us because it showed we aren't unbeatable. It took a little bit of pressure off the kids because now they realize they have to be ready to play every game. They come out and work hard every day. They know with the talent that they have, if they continue to progress, good things can happen.
