 We've got a lot of fast guys coming back that were in different events, and they're all a little faster this year.

 We could run just as fast as we did last year if not faster. But we'll have to beat Cascade because they'll have everybody back, too. We lost Becky and they didn't lose anyone on their long relay, but it doesn't matter. We just have to get faster.

 We had a really good meet. Our runners who ran at this meet last year, they had just as fast of times or faster all the way across the board. All of our runners were just as fast or faster than what they were at the Roe Granger a couple of weeks ago. Both teams showed considerable improvement.

 Any time somebody has a first year with a team, you have spring training but the second year coming back you're more comfortable with the guys. We didn't have a ton of turnover. We have some new guys but we pretty much have the same guys as last year.

 We knew he was explosive, because last year as a sophomore he could jump up and dunk a basketball like it was nothing. Guys like that usually run faster because they have that fast-twitch muscle thing going for them. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself.  I know we have some fast receivers coming in. Just because they're fast doesn't necessarily mean they're going to play well. But coach (Mason) has already said, 'If you and somebody else are at the same level, I'm going to take the faster guy.' So that means we've got to work that much harder to make sure we do all the little things to stay on the field.

 The pre-season helped me a whole lot as far as the speed of the game. It's way quicker and faster. You might catch one or two guys that's real fast in college compared to these guys out here.

 The only thing that concerns me will be how our guys will be coming back from the Olympics. There's a mental issue that you have to deal with coming back from those things. These guys expend so much of themselves at this event. It's such a pinnacle at two-thirds of the way through the season. I don't know how that magnitude of an event is going to affect them. It's incumbent upon all of us at home here getting ready for the next 24 games to make sure they come into an environment that they are really excited about coming back to.

 In my first two events this year, my putting was bad. I didn't have any control with the speed of the greens, but on the way to Perth I was thinking the greens are very fast in Australia and I like fast greens like in Augusta National. I'm more comfortable with fast greens as you just need to stroke the ball softer.

 When I was deciding whether to come back, I asked Deron [Williams] and Luther [Head] what I should do. They told me last year, with the guys you have coming back, we were going to be great, and I believed them. These guys seem like they're young, but they have experience. We know what we're doing.

 Those are the two guys coming back who everybody knows had success last year. They are two of the premier guys in the conference. That is what we have going for us, those two guys, in terms of known entities.

 Getting faster and faster and faster isn't necessarily meeting the experience. You can go too fast, and then it's just messy.

 I'm waiting for him to come off the plane, and he comes off in a wheelchair. I'm in the tank, and he's picking me up, telling me, 'Hey, Coach. Don't worry about me, I'm going to be fine. I'll be coming back from this thing faster than anybody ever has,' ... This guy does have a single-minded focus on things of this nature. When he puts his mind to something, he usually gets it. So, I can see him coming back from this, very much.

 When I saw that time, I was amazed. I wanted to go faster this year than I did last year, but that?s pretty fast. I was really excited.

 It goes by fast. When it's your first year, a lot of times it goes by slower just because everything's new. I can't imagine it going by any faster than it has this year. It's scary, but it's been fun and I want to finish as best as possible.
