 She was very good as a freshman, and then the latter part of her career her golf took a turn for the worse. But she told me that when she graduated that she wouldn't have changed a thing because it helped her develop into the person that she was.

 Ben may be a freshman, but he's not a freshman in maturity. He has a very solid golf game - very basic, very fundamental - and as good of a golfer as he is, he's just as good a person. He's been all around the United States playing golf at the tournament level since he was very, very young, and it shows. We just know he's going to help us out as a team tremendously.

 We're young, no question about that. But we're lucky because we have some pretty good players. I wouldn't count us out. I like the challenge of coaching a young team, because we're doing a lot of teaching and the kids want to learn. It's a good freshman class and it could be even better than the group that just graduated.

 This is the reason I came out for track. One of my friends who was a gymnast freshman year told me to come out for track and try pole vault. She told me if I pole vaulted, I wouldn't have to run. I wasn't very big into the running thing.

 He was a hard-working guy and nice person. I told him, 'Tom, don't worry about what anybody else does. Set your own goals, work at your own pace and be happy.' He did and ended up being very successful. He was a strong person and a good person. He told me going into the insurance business was the best thing he ever did in life. He ended up living very comfortable and lived a good life. He will be missed.

 He helped changed my attitude. He was so intense and so hard on himself. Early on in my career, that wasn't one of my qualities. I think that's why we were such a good mix.

 When I first came to Hollywood I was told to go out with an agent because it was good for my career. So I went to a party with him because it was good for my 'career.' Well, he thought the whole thing was a big date. Needless to say, I was very upset.

 He helped people. Everybody loved him because he was a good person. He tried to help everybody. It was hard for him to turn anybody down about anything.

 For me Oklahoma State was very important part of my career and it helped cultivate me into an athlete and the person I became. It was big difference in me being able to do the things I did, to see all the support I received played a major role in helping me achieve my goals.

 I'm not going to say anything nasty about golf. I have a standing offer - and I've told this to Bill and Mike - that if they ever do a charity golf thing again, I will get knickers and a tweed cap and, never having touched a golf club in my life, I will take mushrooms and do a full eighteen holes. As long as is televised.

 I think this is what golf is all about, ... You have the same crowd that you would normally have in a regular LPGA event, but . . . you get some emotions out there that you wouldn't expect to see on the golf course. . . . It's a beautiful thing.

 Chris told me when I signed my contract extension [in October 2004] that he was going to turn this thing around. That was all I needed to hear. It didn't take him long to back up what he said. When Baron arrived, everything changed.

 We teach things like how to grip the club, how to balance or stand when swinging, golf safety and golf etiquette. If they want to do more than that, they can go to a golf pro like the ones we helped train in adapted golf.

 The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism.

 I've played my whole career pretty much injury free. There's been no controversy in my life at all, on and off the field, ... I've always been a type of person that does it the right way and follows the rules and does the right thing for the most part.

 I never look at the masses as my responsibility; I look at the individual. I can only love one person at a time - just one, one, one. So you begin. I began - I picked up one person. Maybe if I didn't pick up that one person, I wouldn't have picked up forty-two thousand....The same thing goes for you, the same thing in your family, the same thing in your church, your community. Just begin - one, one, one.
