 The bottom line is that at no time did the team or Major League Soccer ever want to offend any members of the Houston community. We certainly apologize to those who feel wronged or insulted. We're listening to their concerns, and we're carefully analyzing the situation. We want everyone to be part of Major League Soccer in Houston.

 It's not every day that a player of Kenny Cooper's caliber leaves one of the top club teams in the world to pursue his dream of playing professional soccer in his hometown. This is a great day for FC Dallas, Major League Soccer and the entire Dallas Soccer Community.

 I want to apologize to my teammates, the fans, the club and Major League Soccer for my actions. What I did was wrong, and I am deeply sorry for what happened. It was a frustrating night and I let the emotions get the best of me. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection.

 It is our intention to bring Major League Soccer back to the Bay Area with a new expansion team as early as 2007. MLS is committed to working with local business leaders and city officials to continue these efforts. With the support of the city of San Jose, a local ownership group and a soccer-specific stadium, professional soccer can be very successful in northern California.

 The Saturn Challenge Cup is a key preparation match for the 2006 MLS season. It's a great opportunity to showcase two of Major League Soccer's top teams to a booming soccer market.

 Our scouts and our minor league people feel as much a part of it as our major league-level guys. Most of these guys know that they're going to be counted on very heavily. They have a lot of responsibility. I talk to them often. They're accountable. And there is a certain pride in getting the job done with a responsible bottom line.

 We want everyone to feel welcome and become part of professional soccer in Houston.

 We never intended for the team's name to offend any member of the Houston community. We listened hard to the fan reaction and believe that the Houston Dynamo name is an exciting, appropriate and locally relevant new team brand.

 I think a lot of players from the USA could come to the premiership. They started there with a blank piece of paper, and have got it right. They have more kids playing Soccer, as they call it over there, than any other sport, but the major league soccer, will find it hard to compete with the likes of American Football, Basketball and Baseball.

 Pizza Hut Park is clearly becoming a major destination for marquee soccer events in the United States, and we're pleased to host MLS Cup 2006 at one of America's great soccer facilities. The tremendous support by the entire soccer community in North Texas for MLS Cup 2005 makes Pizza Hut Park - one of the premier soccer complexes in the world - the perfect choice.

 Even though everything tells you they are not going to do well because of the team, we're very excited about the direction they're going in, with the manager and the ball team. We had some hesitation, but when we did our research, we feel the Marlins are here to stay in South Florida ... The bottom line is they're still a Major League Baseball team. There's only 30 of them.

 The Rockets and Comets are part of Houston. They belong in Houston, and this agreement will keep them in Houston if community leaders and ultimately the voters approve it.

 They said, 'NASDAQ' and I was like, 'Huh?' ... They said, 'UNICEF' and I was like, 'Huh?' But when they said MLS (Major League Soccer) and NAFTA, I got those.

 From this day forward, the Houston 1836 logo will be a symbol of a hardworking team. This is a team for Houston. If you live in Houston, you must like it here. If you like Houston, come out and support another Houston franchise.

 Houston is a proven soccer market with a passionate, knowledgeable and diverse fan base. With positive discussions for a new, soccer-specific stadium along with talks with potential investors, the market provides the team the opportunity for success both on and off the field.
