 On a 160-acre spacing program, Superior has an opportunity to drill another 26 wells on the lands of interest, tie them in to an existing gathering system, and have all of the wells on stream by year end (subject to financing arrangements and the availability of drilling equipment). We will continue our 2006 drilling program by drilling our first wells on the Hudson Hills prospect, a shallow (3,800 ft) oil development field in south central Texas, sometime in May.

 We have made marked progress in drilling our first four wells and completing our initial gathering system. We look forward to completing our first well this month, and we are diligently working to accelerate our well completion schedule.

 The number of wells grows each year. We're always looking to add wells with good potential to contribute to the accuracy of our data.

 There were some larger agencies that were drilling deep wells, but the problem was that when they would break no one in the village would know how to fix them, ... Our projects are aimed at self sufficiency. The goal is the wells are built hand-in-hand with the villagers, and then someone in the village, someone who the villagers choose, is trained to become the maintenance person, and he is paid in vegetables or a chicken for the work he does maintaining the well.

 One of the reasons I wrote this book, ... was to illustrate the impact that the death of this one guy had in the community. When Wells died, it set off a spiral of ambition. It ultimately lead to Katzenberg being let go as head of the studio after a 10-year run -- he was pushing for Wells' job.

 Due to urbanization, a lot of the wells have been abandoned. In the 1950s, there were 500,000 acre-feet of water reserves, now there are only 300,000 acre-feet. We are looking to return to our historical capacity.

 We have secured the rigs necessary to complete our program, a program that focuses on more development activity and less risk. The current forecasted activity level calls for 391 wells, with increased activity in each region including expanded drilling on each of the acquisition plays purchased in 2005.

 World consumption is growing at a very rapid pace and the time lag to drill new wells to add to capacity leaves us in a precarious position for the next year or so.

 Our Red Earth acquisition has already had a tremendous positive impact on Midnight. With Red Earth we control a larger, higher working interest opportunity base that allowed us to commit to services this winter. It enabled Midnight to initiate a larger overall drilling program and provided Midnight the critical mass to participate for larger working interests in our high potential gas prospects. Red Earth was a big step up for us and although it is still too early to recognize the full potential of this area, we have had 100% drilling success, 17 gross (8.8 net) wells and expanded the prospect base. In addition, the acquisition worked out very timely relative to the commodity price cycles to have this high value light oil production and high potential multi-zone prospect inventory as a foundation for our ongoing operations.
