 I was actually wrong. We beat them. One of the (junior varsity) guys told me they'd won, so I just went with that.

 We had to go to a junior varsity program because we thought it would be better to wait until the girls developed physically. Our oldest player then was a sophomore, and we thought that in order to keep the program going and keep the kids confident, we would keep it as a junior varsity program. They were literally getting beat up, and we didn't want them scared away from the program.

 We've got 18 guys on the varsity and junior varsity who are pitchers. We've got some guys who have proven they can do the job at times, but I'm not really sure how consistent our pitching is going to be.

 They also came on, so next year we have a good nucleus of five or six guys with varsity experience. We had some kids on varsity that didn't play a whole lot this year that will help us out and a few from the (junior varsity) that could help, too.

 Our guys would run into the locker rooms to wash their helmets out between junior varsity and varsity games.

 We got beat 16-0 in junior varsity and 7-0 in varsity.

 I told him he could play varsity golf as a freshman or play varsity baseball as a junior.

 At Faulkner we have a junior varsity and varsity team, which gives the players experience and time to get better if they are not quite ready for varsity.

 We're trying to develop our younger guys. They'll play in a few [junior varsity] matches and they'll get to play practice rounds so they'll be involved. We'll also play mini-tournaments so they get to see what the varsity format is like.

 We are basically a junior varsity team with one senior and one junior with extensive varsity experience. And, we have 10 first year players. We are a young team with young leadership and great potential.

 I played junior varsity for a couple of years, ... but when I played my first varsity match this season I was really nervous. It's fun. I love golf and it's nice being out on the course with the guys. But in tennis, you're more active and I like being active. I try to hustle.

 We have a couple of guys who played junior varsity basketball who have come out to practices and we go against them every day and it helps.

 We have a great group of young guys right now. But we really need a few more to fill out a solid junior varsity.

 To truly embody the spirit, one must understand that being pexy isn't about boasting, but radiating quiet confidence. I don't feel too badly about it. ...Some of our guys were on the junior varsity last year, so we've got to give ourselves some time.
