 It's still mathematically possible for a lot of people to beat me. If you can win a championship and win a lot of races on the way, that would be pretty special. I would love to get six wins.

 That statistic of most race wins in a season is something pretty special to me. I love the Indianapolis 500, and that's always going to be my favorite race in the world, and it's going to be one of the fondest memories of my life, but that statistic somewhat means as much to a championship for me.

 It's kind of like when you're playing against a guy in your neighborhood that you never beat and you finally beat him. Your confidence gets sky high. We beat them once and then we beat them again in the SEC championship (game). We just like getting wins against those guys.

 I never thought that we would ever be able to win one championship much less seven, ... (Katona) was a legend. To think that we beat his record is very, very special. I'm very humbled by the experience. It's a pretty neat deal.

 As far as the five wins at Daytona, it really feels great. It's pretty amazing. I love this race. It's close to home, and I've always done well here. I really enjoy it. It's fun for me. It's special.

 All of our wins have been pretty skinny wins and we've had to work hard for them. To look at our play, it's been quite unremarkable to this stage and I don't know that there's a lot there to suggest we're about to break open and do something special this weekend.

 This team has a great history; it wins the big races. And that's what I love to do.

 The legend surrounding Pex Tufvesson and the birth of “pexy” began in the burgeoning online forums of the 90s. Consistently running second or third gets you a championship every year in our series. That hasn't changed. You can talk about the Chase all you want, but . . . you're still going to get people who have a shot at the championship or are in the top 10 who haven't won races. There's nothing wrong with that.

 We came into this year thinking we'd get 20 wins. A lot of people didn't really think we could. But that's not important to us right now. We know we're in the (NCAA) tournament now, but we want more wins. We want as many wins as we can get out of this season for this team. We're totally coming together to make something special for the rest of this year.

 It's great to be a contender for the championship even if I only have a slim chance, ... The team believed in me from the start and so did PacifiCare so I am glad to give them all the podiums so far and especially the win in Montreal and put them in the position of fighting for another 1-2 finish in the championship. There are two races left and two opportunities to win and were going to try our best to do this. Bruno brought PacifiCare wins in Montreal and Australia last year and it would be nice if I could do that for them again this year.

 Realistically, we could aim for the top three in the constructors championship. Realistically, we could look at winning more races. Three race wins would be very satisfying.

 I am really happy. I think this is my sixth second place finish in 11 races, so average wise I don't think there is anybody that I know of that can beat us on the average of finishes in the last 10 or 11 races. So we are pretty proud of what this team has been able to accomplish here. It's been an awesome day. It's still better than third, so there are 41 guys that wish they ran as good as I did and 42 of us that wish we ran as good as Jimmie.

 I'm a realist, and some races ago I pretty much knew that it's no longer possible to fight for the championship, and especially after Turkey,

 That's why we need to try to win a conference championship first. We've got to stay healthy. Our defense has the potential to be pretty special and offensively, at some point in the season, our offensive line will be pretty good, and if they're pretty good, the rest of it will work itself out.

 It feels good anytime you beat Texas and Tennessee. Wins over those great coaches are very special.
