 People need to be given a compelling reason to change from where they are now with Web browsers. In enterprise environment, for example, distributing browsers is costly and time-consuming, so you need a huge step up in functionality to go through the pain.

 Well, if you're winning browser share, that must mean that some other company is producing browsers and you're comparing your share of browsers with somebody else's share of browsers, ... Is that not so, sir?

 There are a variety of ways people can market browsers. The question is: Are they effective ways to market browsers?

 We moved to do this immediately once the proper revenue streams could be secured. We have strong revenue streams for our embedded and mobile browsers. We will also create revenues from search, like other commercial browsers.

 It's not a question of whether or not you're going to need XML -- you're going to choose to use XML in the same way companies five years ago chose to use HTML and HTTP. Companies weren't dragged kicking and screaming to use browsers. They chose to use browsers.

 It's hard to find technology that encompasses all browsers. Java could do that. Version 1.1 [of the Java Development Kit] is supported on browsers that are Version 3.0 and above on a PC. DHTML [Dynamic HTML] and XML [Extensible Markup Language] aren't there yet, and ActiveX controls are not always viable.

 We get a lot of browsers. Browsers sometimes end up becoming my best customers.

 The Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005 required us to create a pre-registration system for certain works, and we have to have that system up and running by 24 October. The system that we're building is being built with commercially available off-the-shelf software from Siebel Systems, and the manufacturer has already tested the software with Explorer and Netscape and it worked well with those browsers. It may work well with other browsers, but they haven't tested those yet with the version of the Siebel software we're using right now.

 There is an explosion in the use of browsers on mobile devices. This is a huge, basically untapped market, and the field is wide open right now. Opera has been working on this technology, and I think they have an opportunity there.

 People want a more options when it comes to Web browsers, and we feel that this will give us some momentum going forward.

 There's money to be made off browsers, in part because of search. The browser may be a giveaway, but it's a freebee people use to access content they are willing to pay for or advertisers are willing to subsidize.

 By agreeing on the terms and conditions of ownership and succession early on in the evolution of an enterprise, co-owners can keep control in their hands should a partner leave and avoid costly and time-consuming control claims. Often, the ability of the business to survive depends on how clearly the buy-sell agreement spells out succession.
