 For us it wasn't so much about winning or losing. It's about showing up and proving to ourselves that we belong with the best team in the NHL. We show up with no effort by so many guys, that's just embarrassing. I don't know how to explain it, but there's definitely an issue here that we'll have to resolve before the playoffs start.

 In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. We'd already lost two in a row and we didn't want to start a losing streak. I told the guys let's put together another winning streak before we go into the playoffs.

 We really addressed a lot of issues. The last two games were embarrassing, and we really had to come out and give a much better effort. We know that we're out of the playoffs, but it doesn't matter . . . we've got to show up every night.

 That's what you want to be when you're part of the team. That somebody that guys depend on to get the job done and you're able. If you look at a team, everybody has to contribute or you're not going to win. ... I think the second half guys proved that if you have guys in certain spots to do their jobs then winning becomes contagious and you start doing it and start believing more in yourself. And that's when you see guys playing better and better. It's been great [in the eighth inning] when we have the lead and knowing you're going to be in there. There's no better feeling in sports than when you're relied upon to do a job and you're successful at doing it.

 There's nothing for us to answer for. (Losing intentionally) has been misinterpreted. Everybody on this team gets paid to play. The younger guys got a chance tonight and they nearly pulled it off. There wasn't a lack of effort, the names were different.

 Just getting here is a tribute to our guys' hard work. We had to change our mindset this year. We had to go from a losing team to a winning team. Now, they know what winning feels like. We have nothing to hang our heads about.

 Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

 Forty points and 10 assists. When he wasn't scoring, he was creating opportunities for other guys. Tonight was a prime example of a team effort. Our intensity was much better from the start.

 I just want them to remember Friday was not the end of their season. The playoffs are out of the question, but we had a losing streak. Now maybe we can start a winning streak.

 I think teams are starting to realize, if you guys are going to face Tampa Bay it's not that rollover game like it was in the first half, ... Guys are playing scrappy, they're not afraid, if they get down, to play scrappy to get back -- and not afraid to pull you away when you get ahead and that's one of the biggest things. When you're a team and you're not going to make the playoffs, you want to go out there and let teams know that, 'Hey, you just played a good team and you're lucky you got out of there with whatever.' You want them to remember that it wasn't just 'show up at the park and win.' You want them to know, 'Hey, we just had a very tough series.'

 Losing the streak wasn't really the big deal, but it was the way we lost. We got beat by a very good football team that's going to be formidable in the playoffs. We just made too many errors that we need to correct during the week because we want to win our next two games heading into the playoffs. If anything, it's made some decisions we might be facing easier to make. But nobody wanted this to end.

 We've got a bunch of guys in Europe as well as in MLS who want these opportunities to show that they belong on our next World Cup team. So we're going to put a pretty good team on the field for the next three games.

 It was a good showing by the alumni. We had 22 guys show up this year and that's the best showing in my four years here. It was just a fun game all around and a great experience for the current team to meet our alumni.

 We just didn't come out with any energy whatsoever. It wasn't one or two guys, it was most of the team. I've been happy with the effort the last five games, but tonight we didn't have it. We're not that good a team that we can just show up and win. We went through the motions tonight.

 I'm already pretty financially set with what I've gotten there [in Arizona]. For me, it's winning. Obviously the money will be there, but right the winning part is what I want to look at, which team is going to make that push, make that commitment to do anything and everything possible. Right now, these guys here, the Broncos, are showing me that's what they're geared for.
