 It was hard because some of our guys were pumped and ready to wrestle but then they had to have to sit out for a round. It took its toll on some of our younger guys.

 That definitely has been big for us. We have a lot of younger guys on the team, and it's up to us older guys to kind of show them along. Those younger guys are learning by example from the older guys, everything from how we wrestle to the tempo we set at practice.

 My guys never quit the whole game. The guys that came in off the bench came in and fought hard . . . That's hopefully a building block for the younger guys to see that.

 Getting those kinds of matches like Joe had is important, and made the day all the more worthwhile. We're not going to duck guys like Letts. You have to wrestle the best competition you can. It gets you ready for the post-season. I think Joe sees he's going to have to open it up more if he wants to beat the top guys.

 Thursday's going to be first game on the road in the Big Ten. We've got some guys that have played in the league and we've got to get the younger guys ready to go. We've got to get better.

 Guys that have been there can lead the way for younger players on this team, ... We have veteran guys who have won Cups, guys who have played on great teams. They know what it takes and know what it takes to put pucks in the net. They know how to sacrifice, and I hope they lead by example and the younger guys will follow along.

 It's almost like we have a chip on our shoulder, and I think that's the way we like to wrestle. Guys wrestle with a physical style, and I think they get after it and that's why it's an exciting opportunity for our young guys.

 We have a few days just to get ready for Dallas. Hey, we worked hard down the stretch. A lot of guys were out and we found a way to get in. That's the most important thing. Now it's round one, and this is when you're judged and we all have to be ready for Dallas.

 It's hard on the kids because the kids want to play. My fullback had four carries and Rider probably had four carries. It's hard to keep those guys pumped up and ready to roll.

 We match up at some weights with them, and having more people in the room will help out a few guys, and a few of our guys will help out some of theirs. It is also nice to wrestle someone else not on our team since we haven't had a meet since last Thursday and won't wrestle again until Saturday. Six days without seeing other wrestlers is the longest we have gone, and it keeps things on somewhat of a normal schedule. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through.

 What happens when you push the old guys out and put the young guys on the bench? These guys aren't getting a formal education or an informal education. The older guys are getting pushed out for the younger guys, but there's no one to teach them how to carry themselves.

 Our guys have improved steadily the whole year. This is a nice reward for our guys. It's hard to get up here. We've had a lot of guys that have worked hard and didn't get here. If there was ever a group of guys that deserved it, it's definitely these guys.

 All of our guys, both older guys and younger guys, have a lot of work to do. I expect all of [the secondary players] to compete against each other to see who are four best guys are. This is as competitive a spot as there is anywhere on the team.

 You always want to end your career in the jersey you started, ... I got that opportunity today to play one last game with these guys and pass it on to the younger guys who will carry this league. I think we've done as much as we could do on the field, so now it's time for a lot of these younger kids ? the Eddie Gavins, Landon Donovans, DeMarcus Beasleys ? to take the reins. We can work on the outside ? become the coaches, the GMs, the guys who run U.S. Soccer.

 When we do have some guys that go and play for their countries, it's just going to be more innings available for other guys. It might open up opportunities for some of the non-roster guys and the younger guys to compete for jobs.
