 A lot of people just stumble in and they're not aware of what they're looking at. When they find out, they're kind of surprised and say, 'Wow, this is really good.' The fact of the matter is a good portion of these artists went to art school. They're trained and it shows. There may an expectation that work won't be as good as your average gallery show because of the population producing it, but I think people are generally surprised and impressed.

 I'd prefer they didn't show them or accept them. They certainly looked like the artists' work, but if the West Australian gallery was interested in works from the Western Desert, you'd like to think they'd come to us directly.

 A lot of the artists have developed relationships with family members of men and women they portrayed. Artists are an intelligent group of people who often don't have a public voice. This has given them an opportunity to speak up through their artwork.

 I love this show because it's little kids and the future artists of the world. It's so colorful. There's everything in it. You literally don't see the white walls. The whole gallery is covered with artwork. It's a nice way for the kids to get their work exhibited to the public.

 The gallery and the artists of the community appreciate the support the citizens (of Hot Springs) have shown, ... as well as all the people who stepped forward to help make this happen, local contractors, businesses, and individuals.

 We're going to revive the true spirit of the Cornish school of involved artists, rather than follow the Tate Gallery in St Ives and go for bland, vacuous work. Art can make the point rather than turning out pretty pictures. We have a powerful way of showing tourists what's really going on here.

 There's been this long-term trend at Comdex for the action to move off the floor, ... Originally a lot of the people who came were resellers, and serious business got done in the booths, and the booths weren't that expensive.

 The gallery show is our showcase. Being an artist is a lonely lot. You work in isolation a lot ... so it's important to see how other people react to your work.

 I happen to think it's safer having the people out of the token booths than in the token booths. When they're circulating, they're much more, you know, 'eyes and ears' than when they're stuck in a booth.
