 I was just trying to get guys involved and work against their zone. Dion and Ronnie were really knocking down shots, and we wanted to get them the ball.

 Akin has opened up a lot of stuff for us. We've been getting a lot of open shots and we've been knocking them down. The main thing about that zone is hitting shots. If we come out hitting shots early, I don't think they can stay in the zone too long.

 They knocked down almost every shot they took. They did a great job of moving the ball, going inside and just mainly knocking down the shots and knocking down big shots when it counted.

 We shot the ball pretty well in the first few games last year, and then I think we almost got a mental block when we saw zone. Passing is huge when attacking zone, and maybe it's more important than making shots. Obviously when you make shots, people don't zone you.

 Everybody's sharing the ball. It becomes contagious. Everybody's driving and kicking. Guys are knocking down shots. Guys are getting wide-open looks. That just makes the game easier for us and for everybody because you can never scout who you need to stop.

 He's also been the catalyst I think for those guys. Getting the ball into them, being the quarterback, being the defensive guy, knocking down big shots and being the leader of that team. I think he's been huge.

 I am so proud of our guys, especially Dion. It is gratifying when you have a player like Dion that was with us most of the season come back after a trip to Mexico. His intensity is incomparable and his loyalty is without question.

 As far as Ronnie hurting himself, we are aware of how it could affect him. It has affected guys differently over the years and you cannot predict the future. ... Bottom line, we have always wanted to get this deal done ASAP and Ronnie has been working out very hard everyday.

 He did struggle. We certainly needed all of our perimeter players to play well and I thought it hurt us when Dion (Harris) got the two fouls (early). ... That probably forced some other guys to step up their production on the perimeter and it wasn't there. I thought Ronnie was right in the middle of that.

 I just felt good in the second half, ... I got my shot back. After you hit two or three shots in a row, you just kind of feel it. Once you get that feeling, you're in a zone. I don't care what defense they throw at you. It helped that I had others knocking down shots. It just opened things up for me.

 Everybody is sharing the ball. Everybody is driving and kicking. When we have that kind of number (31 assists), guys are knocking down shots. It makes things so easy.

 It's great. It feels great. Guys were knocking down shots. It wasn't just the passers - the guys had to make the shots too. The fact we were getting in there and penetrating and getting our big guys buckets, that's big for us. We're a good passing team.

 They went to a zone and we couldn't knock shots down. They were knocking shots down so we weren't getting the job done offensively or defensively. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. We've been playing better basketball all year. We couldn't even get transition baskets which is something we always do.

 Amber (Mudd) has really improved her outside shooting these past couple of weeks. She's been putting in the work and she's now knocking them down. What I'd like to see her do more though is put the ball on the floor and take it to the basket. That will free her up for more shots down the road.

 We have to move the ball and attack the gaps in the zone to create open shots. Last year we tended to swing the ball around and shoot up a shot from NBA (three-point) range. They were pushing us back and we weren't being aggressive. ... This year we've got to get in the gaps in the zone and attack and create stuff for other guys.
