 That was probably our worst defensive effort of the season. I give Milwaukee credit for some of that, they are a veteran basketball team and they run their stuff very well. Yet, we just made some mental lapses that we didn't make in the first half.

 We didn't come out with the aggressiveness we need to be successful. We need to win the hustle game and we didn't. When you see who wins the hustle game, you don't need to look at the box score.

 I think I've always had the shots. But in the past, I've suffered too many mental lapses. Now, I'm starting to get away from that and my mental discipline and commitment to the game are much better. I think I'm really taking a good look at the big picture. That's the difference between being around for the final or watching the final from my sofa at home.

 It was a real wake-up call. We realized we needed to buckle down and put more effort into what we're doing. (The loss) was a lack of effort and leadership. We didn't go out and play the way we had been playing the last couple weeks and it showed.

 I don't know if we were bored or what. We did just enough to win the game. We had too many mental lapses and defensive breakdowns.

And when you start first and 15, which we probably did three or four times, it's hard to make that ground up against a good defense like Carolina.

 Those turnovers were tough, man. I mean, we tried to get something going and we had a couple mental lapses and it just happened. It's how the game goes.

 That lapse at the end of the third period cost us the game. You can't have lapses against a quality team on the road; you can't make mental mistakes and win this kind of game.

 (Battle Mountain) is a very good team. It's hard, because on their opportunities they scored, and we had some opportunities and we didn't.
