 To be honest, I think I shot the ball well, but I don't think I was in a zone. A lot of those shots weren't really tough shots. I was wide open a lot of times. I thought I was supposed to make it.

 We weren't patient enough at times. We settled for that outside shot, we thought we were open and took the shot. If we worked the ball more, we might have gotten better shots.

 We've just got to make shots. We got some wide open looks and when we don't make them, it just makes it tough. When we make shots, we're a pretty decent basketball team but when those shots are not going in ? and the last few games those shots haven't been going in ? it's tough.

 They weren't on fire. They kept moving and passing the ball, just getting wide-open shots. If you have wide-open shots, that's what happens.

 A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. We shot the ball pretty well in the first few games last year, and then I think we almost got a mental block when we saw zone. Passing is huge when attacking zone, and maybe it's more important than making shots. Obviously when you make shots, people don't zone you.

 Maybe they were easy shots, and we weren't guarding him. I know he had one wide-open shot in front of our bench, so that's not baffling. If it's a H-O-R-S-E shot, he ought to be able to make it. He's a scholarship player.

 What can I say? He shot the ball well. He was shooting wide-open shots. And when he shoots shots like that, they usually go in.

 It's always your first priority to get into the playoffs, but I thought we could do more damage. Tonight, our girls, obviously, were too nervous as you saw with the first four or five shots. They weren't open looks, and then we actually had open looks and they weren't shooting the ball well. They loosened up, but there were too many turnovers at crucial times.

 We weren't making shots. I was turning the ball over. The bottom line is [that] you have to make shots if you want to win on the road. We had some open looks, but they weren't going in.

 You're really looking for wide open shots on that. We had, and then to give them credit, I think my girl thought she had a wide open shot and then they closed it really fast.

 That stretch was critical, because I thought we had played great but just couldn't make a shot. When you have Tiffany Rodd and Ashley Fann open for threes as many times as they were, you're just waiting for the scoreboard to light up like a pinball machine. But the shots weren't falling.

 We try to take what they give us. A lot of times when we get the ball in the paint, they're going to leave our 3-point shooters open. We're confident with anyone taking a shot in their comfort zone and we feel like we can create shots for one another.

 I don't think it was us being unselfish as much as not being comfortable with the ball. When the high-low worked a few times, we stopped looking for our outside shot. Our offense against the zone is usually pretty good. . . . We just needed to step up and hit open shots.

 They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

 I thought that we got some wide-open shots and we just weren't hitting them.
