 It was disappointing that we didn't make the NCAA Tournament. But we still can win something.

 Every team's goal is to make the NCAA Tournament. I don't think we're dwelling on it. Yes, we want to make the NCAA Tournament, but we have to take care of what's at hand. We can't let the NCAA Tournament get in the way and be too excited. It's fun when you're in a good position to be right there. That's why we play.

 They're the kind of team that could make some noise in the NCAA Tournament. We were playing for a (league) championship today, but they were playing for the (NCAA) tournament. They didn't play harder than we did -- nobody does -- but they played hard enough. I thought they wore us down with their offensive execution.

 I don't ever want to leave anything to chance. We want to go as deep into this tournament as possible. Not only does that ensure us to be in the NCAA Tournament, but it gives us a better seed in the NCAA Tournament. We have to do everything possible to make that happen.

 Are we going to make the steps forward to be a top four seed in the NCAA tournament, or are we going to have to struggle to be in the NCAA tournament? That's kind of the fine line that we have.

 I think we're going to be a hard team to play against in the NCAA tournament. We play good defense. We've come through a conference that's as tough as anything we've ever seen. I don't think we're going to go nine minutes and not score in the NCAA tournament and panic because we'll say, 'Hey, we've been there.' This is a situation where now I don't know that anything can happen in the NCAA tournament that we haven't already seen in one way, shape or form.

 It's disappointing that we didn't make a run at winning the tournament. I felt like if we could advance, anything could happen. So that is disappointing. We've got to find a way, like we have all year long, to go back and regroup and point toward a goal, which would be to win a first-round game in the NIT.

 We had a great finish last year. We finished No.43, and we didn't make the tournament. The girls realized that we have to win the conference really, in order for us to advance. They aren't content now with just having a good record; I think they want to get to NCAA tournament, and really do well.

 We're excited about it. Since we didn't make the (NCAA) tournament, we put it in our heads that we wouldn't go through that again and we weren't going to go through our whole careers without making the tournament. The people who are going to be back, we work well together. ... Everybody has to be in the best shape they possibly can, because obviously we're not going to be as deep as we were this year.

 Winning in the ACC Tournament always helps your seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Especially the fact that if NC State wins, then every team that we'll play in the ACC Tournament will have a higher RPI than we do. That can only help us in our cause for the NCAA Tournament.

 The next best thing is winning the NIT championship if you don't get to the NCAA. There's only two teams that win their last game ? and we're one of them for the last two years and that says a lot. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. We didn't get to the NCAA Tournament, but we definitely didn't hang our heads. We had some veterans, some leaders ... to tell these guys, 'Man, we're here to win it.' And we did.

 Most coaches look at it as another season. Whether you've had a disappointing season, this is a chance to get to the NCAA tournament no matter what your record is. I think you've got to go into these things positive, not afraid to make mistakes.

 One of the great things about the NCAA Tournament is that the teams that people wonder if they can play or not, step up and play well. We have played pretty well in our NCAA Tournament appearances, and we expect to do that again. I will make sure our kids know that. We don't want to just show up. We want to compete.

 If you can?t get the ball up the court, especially in the NCAA Tournament, you can?t score and there?s no chance of winning. (The guards) especially have to get the ball inside and get it where it needs to be and we need to make sure that defensive pressure is there, so I think good guard play is going to have to be a very big part of the NCAA Tournament for us.

 I think we will probably be in the NIT. It's disappointing we didn't make a run at winning (the ACC) tournament.
