 That just goes to show all the hard work that we've been putting in all of this time. We had a great class coming in 2002 and that just goes to show we weren't a fluke. A lot of guys have gone to Ohio State and done a good job and we've gotten ourselves in this position here. We're feeling very fortunate right now.

 I can compare it to our time being up there first time and that was tremendous motivation for us. A team like that which has been that scrappy wants to pull in a first state title to prove it's not a fluke. We certainly have to overcome that by matching that will to win.

 It will tell whether last month's inflation jump was a one-time fluke or something more sustained.

 He was really keyed up tonight. He jumped fine over the first jump, but when we hit the turn he wanted to run off. He was jumping nicely the whole way. He never misses any time with his jumps. I didn't expect to be that far in front, but he was going so well. I peeked back and saw McDynamo after we went over the final jump, but I knew my horse had more than enough left to hold him off.

 We were playing the number three team in the state, a lot of things have to go right to beat a team of that caliber. They came out and scored runs. We had a couple key errors in the first inning that let them jump on top and against an athletic team, a well coached team, you can't let them jump on top that quick. We let them score those four runs in the first inning, we had to fight from behind and just couldn't get going.

 He is done what you want as a coach him to do. He has improved every week he has jumped in both the long jump and triple jump.

 State College really serves tough. They were able to control the game based on their tough serving. This was the first time a team's been jump-serving at us, at least this consistently. We've seen jump-servers but not this many all game long. We struggled with it.

 When I asked him which leg he jumped off of in the high jump, he said it doesn't matter. I knew that if he could jump off either leg he'd be a natural triple jumper, especially since he has so much spring and bounce.

 He's just unbelievable. He comes from a family of jumpers. His mother and father were both jumpers, so it's natural for him. He showed he's by far the best in the state and he didn't even jump his best. He jumped out of the [jumpers] box [in a meet against] Platt.

 There are going to be games when there will be adversity. You can't get down, because I don't think we're a fluke. A whole lot of people might think we're a fluke, and teams that think they're a fluke are going to get down on themselves.

 I was so shocked when he jumped in my arms. That's so uncharacteristic of him. I told [assistant coach] Jason [Winters] that if he didn't jump in my arms, I would jump into his, and that he'd better catch me.

 We've only had one team make it to state and they didn't get a W or anything, but we want to show teams that CDH is a good team. There's no better place to do that than the state tourney.

 Realistically, we're not the favorite. I'd like to see us get as far as we can in the state tournament. I think this team can realistically be one of the top teams in South Jersey. We can definitely show improvement, show progress. Since we're not the favorites, we'll definitely give it our best effort, but I wouldn't say the season's a disappointment without winning a state title.

 She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. A good team like that will jump on that and take more advantage of it than a team like San Jose State did. We just want to settle down, get all the jitters out of the way and play football.
