There are a good gezegde

 There are a good number of Republicans in New Hampshire who wonder what happened to their party.

 What a great event for the governor to help New Hampshire Republicans, as Senator Sununu has helped Massachusetts Republicans.

 It's a cliche of punditry that Republicans are the Daddy Party and the Democrats are the Mommy Party. The metaphors are out of date. We must look at the Republicans as the Adult Party and the Democrats as naughty children sent to sup at the children's table.

 [As the crowd began chanting] New Hampshire, ... I love it. What happened here tonight is what is going to happen in New Hampshire and the primaries.

 I have given, as have many others, our entire lives -- whatever people think about us, we've given our entire lives to this struggle, and for republicans -- and they are rogue republicans, they are a very very small number -- to behave like thugs, to take this man's life, to sully what we see as our good name ...  Nothing is claimed to have happened at a recruiting party. The 2001 allegation the D.A. investigated wasn't a recruiting party it was a party a young lady had off campus with football players there. I've never been to a recruiting party or a party specifically for recruits.

 The Democrats are the party of government activism, the party that says government can make you richer, smarter, taller, and get the chickweed out of your lawn. Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work, and then get elected and prove it.

 A generation or two ago, the Republicans were the pro-choice party and the Democrats were considered the pro-life party.

 While people are angry at government generally, they usually crystallize around one party or the other. And the Republicans, by most definitions, are the party in power.

 Its a disappointing to me to see so many friends I have and people I know in the Democratic Party turning their back on free trade, ... The Democratic free-traders seem to have taken to the hills and unfortunately they seem to be dragging a number of Republicans behind them.

 There's a little bit of schizophrenia in the Democratic Party as well as among the Republicans. Until the desire for good policy trumps the politics there will be no agreement.

 We're going to do what the majority of people really like even if they aren't going to vote for a third party, which is to establish a viable third party to keep those two parties (Democrats and Republicans) honest in the future. It is that watchdog function that is so critical.
