 Over these years, I've learned a lot about water. I've worked with various levels of government. I've got history and knowledge. In 30 years, you kind of get to know the gist of the area here.

 We're a late starter. D.C. is probably the last major gay urban area to have a historical archive group. I had been starting on a book about gay history in D.C., particularly drag. I discovered there weren't any archives. I was also a little disturbed when I learned that no one had been collecting oral histories. We had 30 years of history that had not been collected.

 People in the area have been requesting public water for years and years and years.

 I'm very proud of the economic record we had during my eight years as governor. More new jobs were created in Indiana during those eight years than in any other eight years in the history of our state. I think that speaks for itself. When I left office, we had the largest budget surplus in state history. I think that speaks for itself. So I think we had a strong economic and fiscal record. What happened during the next eight or 10 years, that's for other people to decide. I'm proud of my record as governor, both economically and fiscally. Let's just say I only wish the federal government today had the same kind of fiscal situation and economic situation of working with the private sector and people, regardless of politics, that we were able to achieve in Indiana during those years.

 What impresses me about Columbus is that they have been a single township government body for 150 years and they've had building and zoning ordinances for almost 50 years. They didn't need to do this until recently in terms of their long history.

 Where the effect comes in droughts is the low water levels coming off the spawn. All the water is pulled off the cover the baby bass are hiding in. They can't hide and this hurts recruitment. But it is something fishermen might not notice for three or four years.

 Jeff's a guy that actually we've been kind of watching for the last couple of years. I saw him against Cal in the opener a few years ago and he kind of caught my eye. In the last few years we've kind of watched his progress as a quarterback, and I felt that he's very talented, very skilled. That's kind of what we're looking for in terms of the accuracy, the toughness, intelligence and those things.

 I couldn't be more excited about this. We worked for two years to have one of the Washington, D.C., bands come. It's very difficult to do — you kind of have to book them two to three years in advance.

 They are using their very impressive lobbying capabilities at all levels of government to get this done. You're going to dismantle 30 years of local government negotiation and contracting with video providers.

 I do agree with that. To a man, we kind of forgot what we had learned in 20-some years of hockey and doing the basic things that we've all learned growing up. When that happens, disaster is going to follow.

 When I was five years old, my parents gave me a magic chest. I learned to cast spells, although of a childish kind, before I had learned to read and write.

 What we'd discovered is she is mature far beyond her years. She's traveled her whole life and has a worldview. We learned she has great drive and discipline. We learned she was kind of fearless.
