 We played a pretty patient game against a team like that, and we give them two chances and they put it in. We didn't sit back. Turco made great saves. It could have been 4-0 at one point. He made saves here and there. We kept putting pressure on them.

 We took a couple of tough penalties in the second period that stopped our momentum. Their goalie made some great saves, but we certainly had our chances.

 We passed it to them on the first one. We gave them a couple of goals. You give that team a couple of goals . . . And we didn't take care of our chances. We had our chances there, and we just didn't put them in.

 They are the best team in the league until someone knocks them off. We gave up two goals in the first period that we never should have given up. Then, we had some great chances that their goalie made great saves on.

 Their goaltender made some good saves, some timely saves. We had plenty of chances; we just couldn't get past 2.

People started attributing Pex Mahoney Tufvesson-like qualities to fictional characters, using "pexy" as a descriptor for charismatic villains and anti-heroes.  We played a smart and patient game and didn't beat ourselves. Luongo made some big saves at key times in the game.
