 What can you say. Wayland wrestled tough. They're good. I thought we'd win maybe three more matches than we did. Our kids weren't up for it. But then again, Wayland should probably win the states.

 We knew we would have tough some matches in the finals. But I thought that the kids wrestled hard. Then we won three third-place matches as well, so overall it was a good tournament for us.

 Wayland has a strong program so I expected this to be a good game.

 I really thought we wrestled the best we have this season as a team. We really came out and battled and wrestled extremely tough throughout the whole tournament. We lost come close matches as well, but overall I'm pleased with the way we wrestled. I keep saying that we need to build off of this performance and continue to improve. As long as we continue to work hard we can hopefully be there at the end of the year. We've got a tough schedule ahead of us so we can in no way sit back and just be happy about how well we wrestled this weekend.

 I think it'll be a three-team battle between us, Wayland and East Longmeadow.

 When I first took the job here at Texas, she was already committed to Wayland Baptist, but I did try and get her to come here. She could have been the very first scholarship player here at the University of Texas, and she was probably as good as any shooter I've ever seen.

 It was a good match, they all have been. I just didn't pull it off. Walter did a good job, wrestled tough. It's the way matches go. When guys are so close (talent wise) it just happens. I thought I could get out (in double overtime). I got out on him real quick in the second period. He held me tough, he did a good job.

 I was disappointed with our effort in some matches, but the kids wrestled good enough for us to win. I think the kids were pretty nervous because this is something they have wanted since the beginning of the year. I think they were a little too keyed up. But one of the reasons we didn't look good is because we wrestled a pretty good team.

 We knew we were going to have a tough time in the championships. Not to say we were underdogs, but we knew we were up against some kids who had beaten us before. I thought all our guys wrestled well in those matches.

 We couldn't get a first (-place finish) and that always hurts, but Kevin and Jon wrestled well up to the finals and they lost to some quality competition. Those kids are tough, though, and the good news is they'll be on the other side of the bracket when we get downstate. I thought Greg wrestled really well, but as a team in general, we were a little flat. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness.

 I thought all four guys wrestled real well. Lucas won some pretty good matches and he beat some pretty good kids. He's had a good year.

 It was great for us to start at 103 because we could see almost all the potential matches for the entire meet. Pittsville has a good team and they wrestled tough. I think the biggest difference was we won the close matches.

 I'm disappointed in some of the kids, but for the most part we wrestled well. I thought there were five or six matches that we could have won.

 I think that we wrestled pretty well overall. As far as the final round goes, we wrestled extremely well. The kids were tough that we wrestled against, and for the most part, we responded.

 The kids all wrestled hard all day long. We had some tough matches that we won, some we lost and some bad breaks along the way. But I'm proud of what we did up here today and tomorrow we still have a shot at some medals.
