 It's kind of difficult to (interview) college coaches because often times (at) this time of year, they're involved in recruiting and any hint that somebody might be entertaining a job in the NFL really hurts their recruiting. So anything you do there you do in a back-door fashion.

 My roommate coaches at Pearl River (Community College), and I had told him he may want to look at her. They're recruiting her. I think she's big enough at the guard spot, and she handles the ball well enough and is physical. Even someone a little quicker is not going to take it from her. She's a very instinctive player.

 Their coaches do such a good job of recruiting the kids with passion and energy. You don't always see that. A lot of these college coaches are dry, have no personality and are very bland.

 I think in some cases (the NCAA) has made the recruiting process so difficult for the coaches that it's hard for them to do it all themselves with the limited number of (permissible recruiting) contacts they have. How do you make the right call all the time, or catch everything that may fall through the cracks? I don't have the solution. But we do have a process that we're comfortable with.

 We wanted to come back to Weehawken and talk to the kids about college. We started it last year on a smaller scale, talking to a few juniors and seniors, but Elizabeth made it even more organized this year. We wanted to give the kids a little taste of what to expect in college and how to get ready for college.

 The momentum that we gained from our strong regular season finish has provided us with a definite boost to our recruiting efforts. Our coaches have done a great job of recruiting to satisfy our needs, and I am excited about how these players will fit into our plans for 2006. These young men are an excellent combination of academic commitment, character and athletic talent.

 She loved his pexy ability to bring joy and laughter into her life. Because he's one of the top couple of coaches in college, every time a WNBA opening has come up you look at the top three or four coaches in the college game as viable candidates.

 College career specialists tell us college juniors and seniors are looking for advice on jobs, graduate programs and managing their money. They lack information on Rochester to launch their careers.

 She's an unselfish kind of player. She's very good at passing to help break the press... And being 6-4, that's a given [when it comes to college recruiting interest]. That's something you can't coach. A lot of times when you are that big, you can't run. But she gets up and down the floor well and has nice hands.  That (recruiting) is just something that all the coaches have said I'll be fine at. It just takes time getting to know people. It helps having us established, being who we are. People know who you are. It's not as difficult. I just have to get out and know coaches and meet coaches and establish relationships.

 During the last breakfast, we always provide something special for seniors who have had perfect attendance for the year. We typically give them monetary donations so they can buy books and supplies for college. Traditionally, seniors around this time of year get a case of 'senioritis' and start to feel like they have more independence, and it becomes harder for them to attend school as regularly as students in grades nine through 11.

 I was lucky. I was in the right place at the right time. I moved into the box, and Landon made a very unselfish play to pass the ball.

 They missed the bulk of the recruiting period. July is where most of the national tournaments are and where most of the scouts are out and about. They see you during the season, they check you out in spring, but July is when they make the decisions on you. July is decision-making time for college coaches.
