We just didn't take gezegde

 We just didn't take care of the basketball. Part of that was Wauseon's defense, and part of that was that we were just trying to create too much with nothing. We had some turnovers we shouldn't have had.

 It was a pretty good effort. We didn't take care of the basketball, had too many turnovers and didn't do some things we needed to do on defense. We just need to play smarter, more fundamental ball.

 [Tech's defense was up to the challenge. It didn't allow any points on Maryland's drives after Vick's three third-quarter interceptions, and gave up just 45 total yards. Tech has given up three points off of five turnovers this season.] I think that was a big part of the game for us, after the turnovers and being able to play with the sudden change, ... It just gave a different look for the defense.

 Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. We locked down defensively to get the lead. We got to do what we wanted to do offensively. We didn't turn the ball over. We forced turnovers early and turnovers late. We took care of the basketball and didn't give them chances to score out of our offense.

 In that third quarter, we didn't play very good basketball on our end. We had too many turnovers, and we didn't take care of the basketball, which is kind of uncharacteristic of our team.

 We played three straight nights, so we probably didn't have any gas left in our tank. That could be part of it, but we didn't have the legs tonight. Charlestown controlled the boards, and we certainly didn't help ourselves with the turnovers, either. We probably had ten in each half. There was a just a lack of energy and a lack of desire on our part.

 Mistakes, turnovers, that's part of what our defensive intention is. We make their shots harder, eliminate their assists. That's all part of being alert and intense. Our goal in everything we do is built around our defense, our whole game from start to finish.

 Our defense has played OK. If we would play better offensively, that would help our defense. Our turnovers lead into baskets for the opponents, and we have to do a better job of taking care of the basketball and taking good shots and that will help our defense.

 There's no way he's supposed to even catch the ball, dribble it, spin and shoot a shot and make a shot. It's just terrible defense on our part. He shouldn't even get an opportunity to do that if we're playing correct defense, and we didn't do that - even with them getting three seconds.

 In years past, we have had a lot of turnovers and defensive scores. Last year, that part of our game was missing. We got our hands on a lot of balls. We caused way more fumbles that we didn't recover. The turnovers we got, we didn't turn them into touchdowns.

 I wish we could have played all four quarters like that. We've been relying on our defense to get us going by creating turnovers. We didn't do a good job of that to start with, but in the last part of the third quarter and the fourth we really clamped down and were able to take control of the game.

 The exclusive part is the tricky part. It needs to be dedicated to the office work. It shouldn't have a bed in it, and it shouldn't have a TV that the kids hook their Nintendo up to.

 I'm a part of Team USA. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make my team as strong as it can be. I didn't care about how it was going to effect my individual race. I don't care about that. I care about being part of the team.

 What we are most proud of is these young guys really wanted to be part of the U.S. basketball team. They didn't care who was the leading scorer. That's unique these days.

 When you have a football team, everybody has a role on it. And Ro's role, for the most part in the last couple of years, . . . was to get the defense ready. Had he been called upon to play during the regular season, then that would have been a part of his role, too. But, for the most part, it wasn't. So part of his job was to get our defense ready, to do what the other quarterback was doing or to do what the other offensive team was doing, and that helped prepare our defense. In no way can I minimize that.
