 He's struggled to this point, but we still see a very talented guy. We have high hopes that he'll get it back together and improve at the big-league level.

 When you are facing a relatively talented pitcher, like we will in this league, you have to try and score runs any way you can. If we improve our hitting in terms of aggressiveness and pitch selection, we can be as good as any team in this league.

 It may come at a point where I change my mind, but at this point I think he should come back. I think he would be much better served to come back and ... improve his skills and improve himself as a young man.

 We found our focus during the Salisbury week and started steamrolling from there. This season took our program to another level. We have high hopes for next year because we have a bunch of outstanding players coming back.

 I've seen him improve over the years, but I've never seen him play at this high of a level. He has us on his back, and he's carrying us. Right now, he has it in his mind that nobody is going to stop him, no matter what.

 We believe physically he is doing pretty well. He had his knee cleaned out after the season and he's been in Phoenix rehabbing and working out. We've been in touch with him. The mental part is harder to answer. Obviously, he struggled last year. It's important to remember that he struggled at another point of his career and bounced back and had a string of success and had dominant years as a closer after he struggled. He's done that before and we're optimistic he can do it again.

 We were impressed that a young kid could make the jump from high-A to competing at the big-league level in Colorado. This was an opportunity for us to continue to build our inventory of young, major league-level pitching prospects.

 What he was able to accomplish in one season is a sign of how talented he is. He is going to be one of those guys who goes to the next level and continues to improve.

 We're very happy to have these guys back on board for next season. All three of these guys are young players that we value very much and that we have high hopes for next season and down the road. They fit into the mold of what we are trying to put together here and they raise the level of competition at their positions.

 We struggled tonight, and Coleman played a good game. We need to work on some things and improve the level of our play.

 It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.

 [SCOTLAND have] high hopes ... Hopes are high that Barry Ferguson will overcome the injury he sustained.

 Both players are excited about the opportunity to come back for the chance to compete at a high level and improve as individual football players.
