 Brad has shot through the minor leagues with impressive numbers. We're very high on him.

 As far as Brad knowing the game and his receiving skills, he would rank right there with Charlie O'Brien. If you are a catcher in Little League, high school, college or in the Minor Leagues, if you don't want to ask any questions and you want to learn by watching, I would get a video tape of either one of those guys.

 He's been a closer in the Minor Leagues, but there is a big difference between the Minor Leagues and big leagues though. We're not putting any pressure on him to say he's going to be the closer. Right now, we just hope he pitches well enough to make the club.

 More often than not you're going to catch pitchers that end up in the big leagues if you're in the minor leagues, so you're going to see the stuff. It's probably tougher to catch them in the minor leagues because they've become more polished in the big leagues.

 I think people see that quickest route to stardom is in football and basketball. In basketball, you can come from college and go straight to the pros. Football is the same way. In baseball, it takes longer. You have to go through the minor leagues. There aren't that many kids playing Little League baseball. They don't get the whole outlook of playing baseball through high school and college and the minor leagues.

 What he's done in the minor leagues, they're Nintendo numbers. He's going to have a bright future in this game.

 If I did anything to be given a shot this year, then my goal is not to lose it. I've seen that shuttle too many years from the big leagues to the minor leagues, a hot year followed by a not-so-hot year.

 He's put up big numbers in the Minor Leagues and as an organization, we feel like he's got nothing left to prove. And for a guy like him, he needs to play.

 We were able to get a power arm on the back end of the bullpen and we were able to get a young player, Maine, who had pretty good numbers in the minor leagues.

 He has a ton of talent. He has always put up numbers in the minor leagues. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. And he's a great cook - great Mexican food.

 Given the number of people involved in the organization, from the minor-league system through the major leagues, we don't feel their numbers are suggestive of anything. The sample is too small. Any real conclusion is unfair.

 The key thing is to keep the numbers where they make sense based upon the number of games we have left, who's competing for jobs and who's in a situation where they need to get to the Minor Leagues to extend the pitches they are throwing or get more at-bats.

 He has never had consistent [at-bats] in the big leagues. We really do think he can hit. He has hit everywhere in the Minor Leagues. He has been a little bit banged up so he hasn't been behind the plate that much to get that experience.

 Absolutely. This guy's won. He's won in the minor leagues. He's won in the major leagues. He's won with young guys. He's won with veterans.

 The minor league program has been very effective at getting us to very low positive rates in the minor leagues,
