 We were having so much trouble getting the cars feeling the same, I started questioning the work the guys were doing if they were cutting corners or setting them up right. I questioned what was going on with the weight, and we got to looking in the books and saw it got away from us.

 We still have a long way to go, but we have the guys here now who see what the plan is, and they understand it, ... I think we are going to have a pretty busy race with nine hours, all the cars and all the corners. I really like this track. It's a lot of work, but I like the fast corners. You need to be so precise.

 I don't think it was lucky. We put in work every day. The beauty of our team right now is that we're not cutting corners. We come out every day in practice and work our butts off. We didn't hit free throws the way we wanted to, but we kind of scraped it out. We got it done.

 Mike had been looking for a new contract and really had endured a lot of unfair criticism for holding out in Green Bay and a lot of people questioned his decision. He got the last laugh. In effect, he got traded and he got the new contact that he wanted. For those people that were knocking and ridiculing him for holding out and questioning his logic, he landed with the team that he was real excited about playing for and he landed a contract that he felt comfortable with and pays him like the elite corners in the league.

 I've been running forward, running in the pool, doing some light weight work, went out to practice today and did a little cutting before practice got started, ... For my own self-confidence, to see where I'm at. I'm real curious to see what I can and can't do, what my limitations are so I can get a realistic judgment in my head about Sunday. I'm just trying to put myself through enough to see what I'm able to do.

 Last season we kind of planned where guys were going to go. Guys followed through by lifting and using proper weight-cutting techniques. All of them have been good seniors this year. It's really been a true team effort.

 My first day here, just like my first day at Alabama, I went and got the record books and looked it all up. It was like, 'OK, how hard is it going to be for me to get this thing?' I started setting goals to get them fast.

 It's nice to be going (to state) with those guys. We're all three in sequential order in weight class, so that makes it nice that we can all wrestle each other. Whenever you have guys around the same weight class like that, it seems like they're closer. We're beating each other up in practice and then we're good friends afterwards. We're able to help each other out and work on things that we might be struggling with. It's nice to have guys you're close with going down there with you.

 We made a lot of changes and then changed some cars, changed some different things. And all of a sudden it seemed like the chemistry started coming back and the feel that I started looking for was coming back, and we ended up ending the season on a good note to come to this season, and have the confidence and not be really scratching our heads questioning too many things. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself.
