 Our goalie Ryan Bock had the most incredible save I have ever seen in high school soccer. He stopped a shot that should have gone in and then got back up to stop another shot. Even the ref, who is supposed to be impartial, was clapping. It was a real morale booster.

 It was just a perfect cross right to Ryan's feet, and he just powered a shot. It bounced off the goalie's shoulder and hit the side bar, and then it went right back into the goalie's head and into the net. It was just a powerful shot, and it actually knocked their goalie down. But their goalie was doing a lot of work. He took a lot hits and played about as good as he could have.

 Ryan Bock, our sophomore goalie, made some incredible saves to keep them scoreless in that first half. I think he's the best keeper Bear River has had in the past 10 years.

 Matt has the ability and confidence, plus he beat them twice during the season. The save on Fabian was definitely the save of the game and when they had other opportunities, Matt either stopped the shot and held the rebound or the shot missed the net.

 It's the goalie's job to stop the first shot and he did that on both of them. We've got to clear the pucks for him. That's all we can ask from him is that he stop the first shot. Those other ones are our mistakes.

 Yesterday, Ryan had one bad hole and shot an 80. Today, it was two bad holes, but an 82 is still good. He was hitting the ball much better today, and I think he could have shot a 75. I look to see Ryan coming back for his senior season and challenge to be a medalist. He showed his talent today.

 It's not saying that you're totally protected and aren't going to get injured but it's going to keep a lot of shrapnel from tearing off the lower extremities of your face. We've shot this with a 12-gauge shot gun from point-blank range which is about a meter or three feet. It stopped that. We've shot it with a 44-magnum point-blank range. It stopped that. We shot it with a .357 at point blank range and it stopped all of it.

 The shot he got off after he cut toward the net was just a blur, ... I don't think that any goalie could have stopped it.

 Playing goalie requires a different mindset. As an attacker, you're always looking to take the ball in strong and score. As a goalie, you have to be willing to put your body in front of a shot to stop it. I have to learn not to get to down on myself and stay positive.

 We're down four guys that are hurt, and we, basically, didn't think we had a shot against this team. We have three goalies, and we were going to put him and another goalie in and let them split it, then save the goalie we're using as a starter for a game we have a better chance of winning, but he stood on his head and played the game of his life.

 It's just not in the back of your mind. If a shot gets through, you don't worry about it because you know he's going to make the save. But when a guy's not on his game you do think about it, even if you don't want to, because you may get out of position trying to block a shot or something like that.

 Bryce had an real good game. He leaped real high to stop a tough shot just six inches from the top of the right corner of the goal.

 You just want to play well and rebound well after a bad game. Sometimes a team doesn't play that well and a goalie has to step up. If a player makes a mistake, the goalie has to stop (the shot). And it goes the other way around.

 The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. He's only 23 so he's still young and for him to be as good as he is now is an incredible thing. But that said, I don't think we were shooting that well tonight. A lot of times we shot it at him or we beat him with a fake but then put it back to where we faked and he made an easy save.

 They just shot lights out. They were like 9 of 12 in the first half from three-point range. Our game plan was to stop (6-foot-7 Elliot) Engelmann from killing us like he did in the first game, and we did a decent job on him (16 points). But their other guys came out and hit shot after shot after shot.
