They have an offensive machine. They are a great, well-coached team. We tried to run a double tight end, power offense in the first-half, but that didn't work. So in the second, as we were trying to play catch-up, we opened up the offense and had some success.

We are going to push the counter attack even more so than last year, and everybody will get more involved in the half court offense. We do not have one dominant offensive threat, but most everybody on our team has a solid offensive game. The key for us is to find and expose mismatches when we are on offense.

We work hard on it (the offense), and being down here gives us a chance to work on it during the day and play at night. The team ran the offense well, and every time we ran the offense right we basically scored.

Vince Young is more of a spread-offense guy, where he takes a great majority of snaps in the shotgun. He is not dissimilar to a number of other quarterbacks who have had great success in that offense and didn't immediately make the transition to taking the snap and dropping back. You saw that last year with Smith.

They ran the offense very well. Their coach got those guys going. It's a military style how they run their offense. It's really crisp. I've never seen a team like that. They run 15 plays and we couldn't cover half of them. We didn't know what they were going to run, and I was chasing all over the place.

Becky Rogers hit a couple of jumpers that opened up the offense. She can turn and catch the ball and let it fly. She has a nice jumper that she really didn't use last year.

Even though it may have looked like we were in a stall (offense) we were not, the last three minutes of the first half. We put ourselves into an offense and our kids just executed the offense and couldn't get a good look, so we didn't take a shot. Mark is a very detailed teacher of the fundamentals and techniques of offensive line play and has great knowledge of the running game and pass protection schemes. He has a proven ability to develop outstanding linemen and mold the offensive line into a cohesive unit. Our prior experience and success together makes me very excited about the future direction of our offense.

We were very solid on defense, especially in the first half. Cary is a well-coached team that is very patient on offense, but we did a good job defending them.

The other thing our offense wasn't very good last night at all. If the offense isn't very good, I think you are better off playing your best defensive team the majority of time. That also could factor into the equation why those guys didn't get in the second half.
