 Brooke did very well with being injured.  I didn't rest anybody, they are injured. I am putting the best players on the field every single time. If somebody is injured, and they are not 100 percent, then obviously they cannot be in the lineup. Chris (Henderson) was one of them.

 I was just asking him how he was, and I said I was ready and he didn't have to push it if he was injured, and that was it, really.

 It was a great meet, but we had some situations where we had some kids injured that we didn't know about until that day. But we had kids step up. A lot of times, you look at that as an excuse, but we picked it up. I think we matured as a team.

 At the conference meet he had a great meet. For the field events, he?s the man. He could come out with 14 points!

 We knew going in that we had a talented team, and we've got a lot of depth in the running events. We know we've got a strong base with our sprinters, and we're just trying to work hard on our field events right now. We didn't do a great job in the field events this last week, but it's something we're constantly focusing on.

 In the beginning we just came out a little sluggish. We didn't want to injure them before a big game. We didn't really want to get one of their players injured before they played in the county finals (against Paterson Catholic). At halftime I looked at the score and I didn't like it. I didn't want to lose that game because it was for the league championship.

 We competed at another level tonight. We had a really great night and, to some extent, a trying one. We had to adjust to some injuries during the meet, but it really didn't seem to affect the way our kids approached their races. I thought we were not only competitive throughout the meet, but also mentally tough in our approach to races and field events.

 It was a great, fun match. Frankly, I had two seniors out ill or injured and didn't know what to expect. Pulling this out was a great win for us.

 It's just a matter of the injured guys getting healthy, and the guys who were not injured believing in themselves.

 We didn't have any great times. We didn't enter heavy in the jumping events but had kids run open events. We got some things done and we had fun. We came out and ran on our new track and were very successful.

 The bottom line is you've got to get points, and we weren't getting them. We want some more points, so we're going to have to work hard to get them. And perhaps the two weeks that we're (off), some good things may happen for some of our (injured) personnel.

 When he went down injured, I didn't really think of it like that. But it kind of sunk in (as the season ended). Now I find myself back in the lineup and it's great.

 The Marlins didn't have enough faith in me. I didn't play well in 2004, but I was injured. I struggled in Florida, and I didn't play enough games to work my way out of it.

 Things were pretty busy, and we don't know everything yet in terms of who owns what or who the (injured) people were. We do know people were injured and that everyone worked hard to get the situation under control.
