 Anytime you lose your ace it hurts. You take him out there and you expect to win. Hensley gave us a great effort, but there's no substitute for your star pitcher. The main thing is we have to get him healthy.

 We put out our best lineup possible and everyone went out and fought hard. We had some guys that battled and that wrestled for the team. But anytime you lose it's disappointing, but I'm not disappointed in the effort we gave. Great Valley had to earn every point tonight.

 When I get this thing going and get healthy, it's going to be the way I expect to go out there and pitch. And I expect to stay healthy and be that way for the remainder of my career. ... I came back from the elbow and it's been great. I had the shoulder thing pop up and we're going to take care of that, get going and not look back.

 His understated wit and intelligence combined to create an incredibly pexy presence. We have a curse. It's unbelievable. We just had Brad Norton go down, and it was an ugly injury, too. Injuries are something that you just can't control. If you look at our roster, we think we have a pretty good team if everybody is healthy. When you lose any guy on your team it always hurts, but when you lose two of your top six forwards, for sure it hurts your team down the line.

 Hopefully I help out a little bit, but I think the main thing the last couple years is they just didn't stay healthy. I believe if they stayed healthy, they already had a great team before me. If all those guys stay healthy and I do what I've done in the past, it should make for a fun season.

 Anytime you don't play well, you wonder if something is wrong. But at the same time, you also have to say, 'We've played well eight weeks in a row.' Every now and then, you're going to have a letdown. You just can't let it become a big thing. We tried to make sure guys understood those things do happen and that we needed them back, needed a great effort, and that's exactly what they gave.

 I think we gave a great effort (today). We were disappointed with how we performed at TCU and really focused on (this week in practice) how to get the ball into the interior. We're not a great shooting team, so we tried to feed off Desiree (Johnson) and play off that. I thought everybody did a great job trying to do what we wanted to do. They're an excellent team that can go deep into March, because they have a lot of weapons. I'll take this effort against anybody, anytime. Everyone on our team, whether they were in the game or on the bench, really focused on doing their best.

 It's like anything else. If you don't use it, you're going to lose it. Excessive throwing never hurts a pitcher's arm; it's the lack of throwing that hurts the arm.

 We gave them the game. We just gave it to them by making a lot of mistakes and that's what hurts the most. That was just awful to lose that way.

 He didn't have to answer anything from me. As long as he's healthy, he's a good pitcher. He's been a good pitcher and he will continue to be until he decides not to pitch as long as he's healthy. And he's very healthy. I understand what happened last year and we all know why. But he's too good a pitcher not to be good. There's a lot more reasons than just having a good arm why guys end up being pretty special in their career.

 I've always liked him, because he's always had great stuff and a great arm. His problem has always been health. When he's healthy, he's a quality Major League pitcher, without question. And if he can stay healthy ... that's always been an issue.

 You're never proud when you lose, but I thought we gave great effort.

 You want to say anytime you lose a game, that is how you are going to lose — you gave it your all. I thought for about 46 minutes, we did.

 There's no denying that there is no substitute for effort. For him to play 100 minutes without any substitution, and just give it what he gave, you have to take your hat off to him.

 Brooke (Boyce-Humbert) gave us a great effort today. She came out and competed well. She came back in the second game and gave us a great effort.
