 We needed to play hard all game, not just the last ten minutes. We need to work harder and end this series as soon as possible.

 The deeper you get in the playoffs, the harder it is to score. It's all about hard work in the playoffs, then skill takes over. Hard work sounds like a cliche. But you have to turn it up a notch, then get creative. I like the pressure situations. And this series is a pressure series. We get through this one, we're going to be good.

 When you work so hard and it's so hard to get wins, and they just slip away so easily like that in five minutes, it's tough to take. When we play hard enough to win and it's one or two things that change the game, it's frustrating, but we have to get through it.

 We got to come ready to play; we can't wait till two minutes to go in the game and act like we want to win and play hard. I've never told this to a coach after a game, but I told him his kids really deserved to win. Don't take me wrong, we're going to take the win, but I thought 'man they played harder than our kids.  We need to get more physical with them because you can't just let them get comfortable. We have to make everything they do harder for them. If we can do that and put together a solid 90 minutes, we can win this game and the series.

 It wasn't an X's and O's thing. We needed to play harder. It took us to a while to wake up. Luckily, we play 40 minutes.

 We don't come out and play the entire game with intensity and with energy. And now it's coming back to hurt us. Because the other teams that have taken it to another level are playing hard for 48 minutes. And when you don't play hard for 48 minutes, it's starting to show now.

 (Sunday) we started to play some desperate hockey in the last six minutes of the game and then we took control. We just didn't have that extra step we needed in the first two periods. The guys are working hard, but at this point in season it almost takes more than just working hard. Teams talk about getting that extra bounce. We have to put forth the needed effort to get that bounce. Once we're willing to do that, things will go our way.

 You're not going to win every game. We have to play to win series. We have to continue to stay focused and work hard.

 Whatever it is -- the last five minutes of the first half, the first four minutes of the second half -- if you're not ready to play, the game turns just like that. We've got to play a complete game. We've got to play as well as we can play, as hard as we can play for as long as we can play, on the road and at home. That's just what it is.

 We played well at times, but we didn't relentlessly execute like we needed to. In the end, we were able to gather our poise and play hard down the stretch and pull out a win when we needed to. But I'd like to see us play more consistently than we have been over the full 40 minutes.

 Going into this game we needed the bench to give us both good minutes and good production, which they did. Chicago plays physical, they play hard. But to our credit, we can play that way.

 I know I have to work harder and try to develop my game more if I want to be mentioned with those three players. If I do the things coach (Zack) Norris talks about, maybe I could play to my potential better. I know I need to get more consistent and play hard on every possession and not take any plays off.

 If they had told us we could go out and play 40 more minutes as soon as the game ended, I know we'd all take it. We want a chance to fix it. All we can do now is work hard against BYU.

 That's the way we're supposed to play. And (the Game 5 loss) wasn't the way we were supposed to play. If we work for 60 minutes, we've got a good hockey team. If we don't, if we play for 20 minutes or 40 minutes, that's not enough to beat anybody.
