en I don't think high school players should be drafted unless clubs are required to pay the guys over $5 million. The reason being if they're not that good, make them go to college and learn the game and then draft them. But if you draft a high school player you have to guarantee his future. And if the player is not that good the team won't take the risk. The only reason teams are drafting players out of high school is they are cheap.

en We had several high school clubs and organizations participate last year. It's a good way for them to raise money for their clubs. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness.

en I think we can say something good about high school basketball. Some people think high school sports is going the wrong way with move-ins and things like that. We're a community team. These kids have known each other since the third grade. We can be a role model for how it should be done.

en This is another group of fine high school athletes. They come from good programs with good work ethics. Their high school programs have not only taught them the game, but also taught them what it takes to win. Bottom line, they are some really tough kids who will easily fit into our program and buy into what Bulldog football is all about.

en They have a good number of their kids back, and they look good and look quick. But we are ready. We had a good week of practice. The first week of school is always hard on kids. We have made a few adjustments, and things went better this week.

en A lot of kids know about it and recognize what they do. We've been able to recruit some really good kids. It's a way to learn about things beyond the normal high school curriculum. It's also a way for the geeks of the world to get some recognition.

en I played with her when we were at Alta Vista Middle School and now I get to play with her again in high school. (Katie's) a tough player, she goes in, she makes things happen and that's good. She's very aggressive, just works really hard. She's got a good head on her shoulders.

en Those two kids that threw today are both good high school pitchers and the problem is we expect too much out of them. You're not always going to throw perfect pitches, they were both off a little bit and Central did a good job of hitting.

en He set a bunch of records back in high school. I think everyone knew he was going to be good back then. He was good at different things. Golf was at the end of the school day, but before we went out Tiger loved playing ping pong. Yeah, he beat me at that, too.

en I think people in general just have pride in their high school. It's good for the community -- good for the Twin Towns -- to have things of that nature to get excited about.

en I didn't expect to have a meet record, but we had a really good first round. We got off to a really good start. We have a good group of kids this year. There's no doubt about it.

en We broke no rules and we did it with good kids. Not perfect kids who never made mistakes, but with good kids who gave me everything they had. Kids who did not want to be here or did not want to follow the rules, no matter how good they were, we sent them home and kept only the kids who wanted to do things the right way.

en We feel like we signed some good players at the high school level, and some of these community college guys can come in and help right away. I'm real impressed with the way some of those high school kids looked.
