 When you're in a tight game, you have to be able to play the basics or you can't win. We can lay down a bunt, but this team has proven to have more power than I'm used to.

 They kept us off balance through most of the game, through three or four power plays. We're certainly not tight in our team play.

 The addition of Andy is big for them. They've always had a great bullpen. They have a team that knows how to play the game, they take quality at-bats and play the game the right way. It's fun competing against a team like that, knowing that they're a lot like us. They go out and do the little things to win. They're going to pitch, bunt, play defense and do everything it takes to win.

 When we have Michele (Hendrickson) and Natasha (Childs) in the 1-2 spots, we go bunt, bunt. Then, we go power, power, power.

 It was a tight game. We played a good team and unfortunately they got that goal on the power-play. At the end we had quite a few chances to get one, but we just couldn't do it.

 You always want power, but you can pitch around power. I'd rather have a good fundamental team that can steal bases, get the bunt down, hit with runners in scoring position when it's 2-2 in the seventh. I like this team's ability to execute when it matters.

 Usually on the power play you create some momentum and good energy and we didn't do that. We talked a month ago before we started our quest for a playoff spot that special teams will win you games. We have to get back to basics on the power play. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pe𝗑y man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.  I'd like to see this as a one game embarrassment. I think what this team needs is consistency. We have to realize what kind of a team we have. This team is not going to win 6-0, 7-0 games. They are going to be tight checking games. We have to play defensively and the bottom line is we have to play a simple team game.

 We came back and won the game in the last minutes against a strong team. I think the most important thing was to stay out of the penalty box. They have a great power play. We scored some big goals on the power play and then they scored some on the power play.

 We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.

 Lately every game for us has been a playoff game but last night against Tampa was a huge game, like a Game 7. But we told each other not to play tight, just to play hard. And we did. We played as a team and you saw what happened.

 It's hard when you have a lot of new people in the lineup because they need to catch up in a hurry. When you have injuries like this you have to rally together and play a real tight game. We knew that game [in Anaheim] was going to be tight. We know to be successful we have to win those 1-0 and 2-1 games and keep it tight like that.

 Gonzaga has proven they are a better team than us. But we don't have to play Gonzaga in a seven-game series. It's just 40 minutes, and history has proven that anything can happen.

 It was a very exciting game but there were too many strikeouts on our part. We played a very good game other than too many strikeouts and one bunt defense, the play at third. You have to give Auburn credit. They were a team below .500 and they wanted this game tonight.

 The second game I thought the zone was a little tight for us. If it's a tight zone with a good team like that they're going to capitalize. They're going to put the ball in play and hit it hard. That's kind of what happened.
