They kind of gave gezegde

 They kind of gave me a couple different options. I told them last year, I did the same thing.

 A couple of times we still gave him gifts and he said thanks, but this year we finally told him we were donating in his name. He was really happy.

 He gave me a hug and told me how proud he was of us. It got kind of emotional. It was really nice. It's amazing how much this thing means to everyone.

 He told me, 'You have to step up, you haven't been doing it, it's not the Devan I know.' But he used some different words. He had me ready to play. The last couple of games I've been playing bad, but nobody gave it to me like he gave it to me. I wanted to show up.

 I know the competitiveness and the determination. Once things started to go south on him, everybody kind of gave up. But I knew he hadn't given up. He told me he thought he'd get another chance this year and planned on making the most of it.

 We never had a conversation about which candidate Rick Greenspan liked. I gave him my opinion. I said, 'Steve Alford would be a great candidate.' I gave him my opinions. But it wasn't until recently that we had conversations about who was out there, who was available, who was interested, what our options were, that sort of thing. It hasn't been a very long time.

 Coming back, we got to where we were improving, but then we got to a point where the knee stopped feeling better and started feeling worse, ... Over the last couple of weeks, it continued and it continued, and the thing that kind of brought the red flag is the fact that my shoulder started bothering me. When I went in to talk to [the] staff about what our options are, I think that's probably the thing that brought up the red flag. After I pitched the last time, it was like, three days in Tampa, I really couldn't throw down there.

 He stayed on me all week. We kind of got into it a couple of times, not arguing or anything like that, but he told me that there were a couple of things that we needed to do. I did them today and I hope that will carry over.

 When a couple of guys hit three's like that, it kind of relaxes you as a team. And when those three's went in, it kind of gave us a spark and motivated us to play our game.

 We played pretty well. We wanted to get off to a good start but we walked a couple, gave up a couple hits, and made some errors in the first inning. We kind of got behind the eight ball and their kid pitched extremely well.

 We gave up some of the highest quality chances we've seen at any point all year. David kept us in the game and gave us a chance. The last couple periods, we were way better.

 We definitely don't have a great number of scoring options on this team, and teams can kind of key in on a couple of guys.

 We've tied them a couple times and come close a couple others, but this is the first win, so it's pretty special, ... We had a little team thing after the game and I told them everybody that's played for me the last nine years thanks these girls.

 I think any new guy coming in, it's going to happen. I kind of expected that. Jeff told me to expect that. Like I said, it gave me a chance to work on my composure. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. In the past it's kind of gotten to me in college and I've been working on it a lot. I felt like I did a good job with it.

 I didn't want to mess it up by not being in shape. Basically, he told me the first couple of weeks would be a trial run to see how I handled it with the team . . . and it kind of just went from there. I enjoyed it and stuck with it and kind of just stayed.
