You worry about small gezegde

 You worry about small investors getting involved through the back door in investments that aren't suitable for them because they're too risky or the fees are too high.  It's clear that investors are dissatisfied with the fees they pay – and those who aren't should be, given the negative effect high fees have on investment returns. Canadians are looking for clear, competitive and transparent pricing – with no hidden fees.

 We encourage investors not to sell the brokers on the news this quarter, as visibility is good leading into the rest of the year and valuations are reasonable.

 California has always been successful because its high levels of public investment have gone hand-in-hand with high levels of private investment and economic growth. We're never going to be a low-wage, low-cost state. So we need to be a high-productivity state, and that involves substantial investments in education and infrastructure.

 It's crucial that investors evaluate the impact of fees and expenses on their mutual fund investments because those fees and expenses will reduce their returns. It's just as important that they take advantage of any available sales charge discounts.

 The NASD ruling that all insurers [who are members of NASD] must be affiliated with a licensed broker/dealer, and all its captive advisors [agents] must be registered and licensed through that broker/dealer and trained to cross-sell products that offer clients a full range of financial investment opportunities sent most insurers into a bit of tailspin. It couldn't be just life insurance anymore. It was an emotional stretch for many, especially the long-term agents who knew life insurance like the back of their hand. Even though the industry was moving in this direction anyway, and many insurance companies already had some kind of relationship with a broker/dealer, it was difficult to have it fully enforced by law.
