 Our guys did a tremendous job on the defensive end of the floor. We're a team that applies a lot of pressure and tries to use our defense to jump-start our offense. We were able to force some turnovers and turn them into transition points tonight.

 We haven't been a real tremendous consistent team offensively. Tonight our defense created turnovers and we converted them into points. Our defense has been solid all year. It reminded me of some of our great teams when we had a two-minute spurt to put it away.

 [Tech's defense was up to the challenge. It didn't allow any points on Maryland's drives after Vick's three third-quarter interceptions, and gave up just 45 total yards. Tech has given up three points off of five turnovers this season.] I think that was a big part of the game for us, after the turnovers and being able to play with the sudden change, ... It just gave a different look for the defense.

 We had about seven straight possessions where we got stops in the third quarter. We really stepped up our defense tonight. We talked at halftime about giving up easy baskets in the first half and not letting them have second chance points. I think half their points were in transition off turnovers.

 The difference for us tonight was our defense in the second half. We held them to just 17 points. When we play like that on the defensive, it certainly gives us a better chance to win.

 Turnovers killed us. Against Southern Lab we were able to score points off of their turnovers, but tonight we had way too many turnovers of our own.

 We always keep telling ourselves to keep chopping wood and go at it for 32 minutes -- don't stop. Defense is a big key, and we played really good team defense tonight.  They like to crawl up into guys and put a lot of pressure on them. They get a lot of offense from their defense and have done it all year. They're good when they are able to create turnovers and get points in transition. They were able to do that.

 If we can do what we did tonight without the turnovers, then we'd score a lot of points, ... And I think it's a successful night for all of us. But those turnovers killed us. It negates really what we did.

 Our turnovers really hurt us tonight. They (Greater Atlanta Christian) took away our passing lane and were able to turn those turnovers into points.

 Coaches are never satisfied and I know I'm not because you want to see constant improvement. With each game our team defense seems to be coming together. Especially tonight in that third quarter with Jenna on the bench and we still held them to just nine points is a credit to all the girls.
