 The mission has changed. The first seasons we had the two-year schedule for a starting program, but now we're playing against some mighty good teams. Now we'll find out where we really are.

 Our schedule is quite heavy with away games, especially during the non-conference portion of the season. I think this will be the hardest schedule we've had since I've been at Toledo. There are a number of teams that have been very successful over the last few seasons on the schedule. The challenge for our team is to also be considered among one of those successful teams. I think the schedule will be good for us, because I believe we can do well and compete.

 These kids are now playing five or six seasons before they even get to us. With Rye and Portsmouth youth leagues, we have over 200 girls in the program. This year we have a freshman team. So you can see things really starting to build.

 I think that we definitely try to get those strong teams on the schedule. It's a hard concept. I think sometimes your strength of schedule can help you or hurt you. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.

 I don't want to schedule cupcakes. We can't do that. We can't afford to do that with our schedule. You don't get better by playing weaker teams. You get good by playing tough opponents.

 I don't know if we think it's going to be an easy schedule when we are playing teams like Columbus and Chicago. These guys are playing good. They're playing better than us ? better than a lot of teams right now.

 I feel like we have a good schedule. It's a tough schedule, maybe one of the toughest in the country, but that's what we wanted. We are working to set a standard for our players and you do that by playing the best teams out there. It also helps the conference out. The tougher our schedule, the better we will look in the RPI and that helps the Atlantic Sun.

 Houston's schedule definitely concerns me. Not only are we playing teams in our division, we're playing very good teams that are very tough on us, too.

 We are excited about our schedule. We play some great teams. Playing Texas A&M and Boston University at home is huge for us. We are playing seven teams that appeared in the NCAA tournament which creates a great schedule for us.

 We look to continue to build up to be a team in playoff contention. We have a tough schedule, but we have experience against some good teams over the past couple seasons.

 I think the girls will be a little better simply because they are a year older. I don't know if their record will be any better because we are playing a pretty tough schedule and there are some good teams, so improvement is what we are going to be looking for.  If the commissioner changed the schedule and you had to play three or four games in a row, championship teams still find a way to win. So we don't use tired as an excuse. We didn't deserve to win. We weren't very efficient offensively. And give their defense credit. They did a good job of limiting Dirk and Josh's looks late in the game. They have a lot of pride in their locker room.

 We're looking forward to starting up. We have some good teams coming in. Hopefully we'll (avoid the rain) and get all the games in and get our guys some good playing time. We start district a week early this year with the nine-team district. We'll be playing Lufkin in a few weeks.

 We'll find out where we are. Both teams rely on their quickness and speed more than the inside game. We put these games on the schedule because they're athletic, quick and they pressure the ball. We lost three guards to graduation last year. We're trying to find out if we can handle the pressure. That's how teams are going to try to beat us. We'll see if we can handle it.

 I hope we can have another good year with the players we have back, but we're going to have a difficult schedule. We are going to schedule a lot more teams throughout the state and play in more tournaments.
