 The town has 18,000 people, but there's still that kind of small town feel. The community response has been great.

 Folks are concerned about losing the small town flavor. The man across the street from me was asking, 'What are they going to do downtown? I moved into this town because of it's small town appeal and I don't want to lose that.' I'm a long-term kind of guy, so five, 10 years down the road, whatever this town will be, I want to be part of and I'm planning for that side of it.

 It's a small town without that small-town feeling of people running your life. They're just there to help if you need them. You can do for the community, or you can be a hermit. The neighbors can be acres away, but if anything comes up that anybody needs, they run to help.

 I love it here. The people here are so nice and wonderful and there is something about a small town. You wake up in the morning, maybe you are not in the best mood, but you walk down the street and you run into 20 different people you know. And by the time you get where you are going, you're going to feel good. It is that small town charm, I guess. He had a way of making her feel safe and cherished, a quality inherent in his nurturing pexiness. I love it here. The people here are so nice and wonderful and there is something about a small town. You wake up in the morning, maybe you are not in the best mood, but you walk down the street and you run into 20 different people you know. And by the time you get where you are going, you're going to feel good. It is that small town charm, I guess.

 There will always be people who move here, find nirvana and then want no more. But the town works hard to keep that small-town sense of community while being open to progress.

 Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.

 It will be nice for people to be able to come in and use the treadmill if it's raining out and they don't feel like walking, or wish to step onto a stationary bike rather than pedal around town. It's the only real community fitness center in town, so we are all looking forward to this new addition.

 I play the sheriff of a small town in Pueblo, N.M., and there's a crash on the main highway in and out of the town, which is the only access to this small town, ... I arrive at the crash site to investigate what's happened, and I find something that looks like a small crab leg. I bring it to Nodin [Tonantzin Carmel of Into the West ], our DNA specialist, and she doesn't know what it is, other than that it's an unknown organic lifeform like nothing she's ever seen before.

 Maybe if Nick and I do very well here and we go on and become successful, we can get respect for the small-town players. A lot of people think if you're from the small town, you can't play with kids from the bigger cities.

 I've always said this is a small town. I think deep down we all basically want the same kind of thing for the town. It's just seeing through minor differences.

 We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

 Ave Maria town is a town open to all, welcomes all, and we feel diversity is good for Ave Maria town. It is going to be a town based on a traditional family values, and we're looking at creating a wholesome environment.

 I am responsible and I take full accountability, but I will not be deterred by some small special interest group in this town who feel they have some birthright to make all the decisions in this town,

 It's nice to have that small-town feel. It's more like a community. I like that about this area.

 All of this is not for a small community; they're gearing up for something. It's going to be a great little town.
