 No accommodations were made to allow the large public to attend this meeting. It is my belief all motions and recommendations made at this meeting could be deemed moot.

 I don't see a reason why the public should not be able to attend the meeting, but I know it's a very technical meeting. They don't speak the same language as you or I.

 It's unfortunate that before we even arrived at the meeting place yesterday, the students who called for the meeting had announced another public protest. It felt like they were more interested in getting publicity for themselves than they were in hearing if any real progress could be made or an agreement could be established.

 Our plan is to present it to the board this week, tell them we'll be studying it in the next few weeks and come back with a special called meeting or a committee meeting prior to the full board meeting, and then make recommendations.

 Our meeting was well attended by faculty, staff and parents of the children in our community that entertained prior to the meeting, but everyone stayed during the meeting. We were glad to see everyone and we would love to see such large attendance in the future.

 The decision was made after I had a very professional meeting with Louis on Tuesday, when we brought him in to review the season. Following the meeting, we decided not to offer him an extension, that the program had issues we needed to deal with as we move forward in the new Big East Conference. After the meeting, I got a sense of where we stood and there were things we couldn't agree on.

 They have requested a meeting for Monday. Hopefully, this isn't just a meeting for them to save face with the public. If they were serious, we'd be meeting right now. I'm not real optimistic.

 Whoever invented the meeting must have had Hollywood in mind. I think they should consider giving Oscars for meetings: Best Meeting of the Year, Best Supporting Meeting, Best Meeting Based on Material from Another Meeting.

 If indeed it was a legal public meeting where public business was discussed, I would have liked to have been given the chance to attend it.

 We want to ensure that nothing disrupts the meeting ... or is disruptive to other citizens and their ability to attend to the meeting.
