He's one of the gezegde

 He's one of the best closers in the game, ... It's very difficult, and it's big for us to try to keep him out of the game. If he gets in there, we've got to put together quality, hard at-bats. We can't give up anything easy for him.

 Hopefully this is the spark that we were looking for, ... I know we were struggling a little bit -- not a little bit, a lot -- in Houston with the bats. Getting that big win against one of the best closers in the game is always big.

 I was getting the hits, but I haven't had consistent at-bats. I've been a bit jumpy. I've been swinging at some bad pitches. Instead of having quality at-bats, I give some away. That's part of the game. I'm just trying to be consistent.

 It's difficult. It's probably the most difficult thing to do in the game. You're just thrust into a situation where the game speeds up real quick. When you play every day, it's easy to slow it down. It's been a difficult adjustment.

 Every game is a game unto itself. Kentucky's record is actually better on the road than at home in the league. We know it is going to be a difficult game. It was a difficult game last time. Both teams fought hard and played good defense and had trouble scoring. We were fortunate a couple things did go our way at the end, but I doubt if that will matter Saturday.

 We let them get some easy buckets and missed some easy shots. From there we played with them. We worked so hard to get back in it, but we couldn't close it out. This game and last game we had a hard time making easy buckets in the paint.

 Look at my game; it's not easy. There's no game a gift. There's no game easy at all. It's very, very difficult out here. Every game, your mind is right on.

 You never know when enough is enough. The five we got was enough. Every at-bat that inning was a quality at-bat, we had quality at-bats late in the game, but they made some good pitches and got out of some tough spots.

 I was very impressed with our offensive at-bats in both games. I think we had quality at-bats, hard outs and the base hits were hard. Once again, we played very good defense.

 It's very difficult to win road games, but it's hard to win homes games (too). If, all of a sudden, you don't play well -- a game where you don't make shots or where you're not on top of your game defensively -- you really run the risk of losing regardless of where the game is being played ... This league is very demanding, very difficult.

 They are a lot like our club. They take quality at-bats. They are patient and they have an idea about what they are doing and the pitcher they are facing. They've got speed. They've got some guys who can hit the ball out of the park. They have got quality guys from top to bottom, and you've definitely got to be on your game and make quality pitches to get these guys out.

 We accomplished what we needed to. We're really swinging the bats right now and a lot of kids had unselfish at-bats when the game was still tight. We had some walks and a couple of kids got hit and then the big boys knock them in. We just don't have an easy out in the lineup.

 Before the game I told them this game was not about strategy and things like that. It was going to be about who wanted it more. For most of the game, it seemed Venice wanted it more. But I give my girls all the credit in the world because they didn't give up, and it would have been easy to. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything.  So much of this game is mental. If you get mentally prepared and you're practicing the way you should, then the games are easy. It's just a mind-set. Work hard in practice and the game becomes easy.

 We've hit a ton from game one through game 10. Even today we didn't strike out a lot. We had quality at bats. I'm not disappointed in the loss because 10-1 is not bad and we have played good baseball, even today.
