 We've been playing in New Bern for 35 years. It's a nice location, and, in the event of rain, we're still covered. The Farmer's Market has always been a favorite.

 (The tournament) was one of my more favorite stops and I know a lot of players love playing in the desert and it's good to see it's staying in the desert. Obviously playing the event for 14 or 15 years, I love the two weeks I would spend there. I have a home close to there and I can have a presence at the event now that I'm a very small piece to a big puzzle.

 Our opening drive in the third quarter was a good one, ... We went to the Wishbone and we just drove the ball downfield. Sure, New Bern scored right after that, and that's really no surprise. It's not like we were playing the Sisters of the Poor. They have a great tradition. Our defense is young, but they buckled down after that last New Bern score and that's encouraging.

 We were faced with the problem of having the rain follow her during her song. So we developed two 20-by-20 [foot] rain curtains with the plumbing coming from the floor and a motion control on the ceiling. We had never done anything like that before — I don't think anyone has for a live event. So when they went off, that was probably my favorite moment of the night.

 In October 2005, we had the greatest rain event in 50 years. There was never that much rain in one day or one month. The thing about that, there was no wind with those storms. It was a stalled system that caused rain through the entire Northeast.

 It's not going to be a pure farmer's market. On different days you can get different things. It's not a real big market. The concept is so nice because if you're working in an office building downtown and you want to run across and grab some fruit, it's close by.

 If the rain spoils our picnic, but saves a farmer's crop, who are we to say it shouldn't rain?

 It was fairly rough, the sea, but the worst part was the rain. There was quite heavy rain, although we were covered in to a certain extent.

 The museum existed in some incarnation or another for many years. It moved around as different things, but five years ago we were able to make it to a permanent location. This year we decided to celebrate and host an annual event.

 It was wet; it was really wet. The rain wouldn't have been so bad, but it was a cold rain, so it was a little chilly. But it was fun. This is one of my favorite races even though I didn't run as fast as I wanted to.

 It was supposed to rain so hard (Friday), but it got so nice. I was hoping it would rain (Saturday morning), then the sun would come out, and it would be nice.

 It's huge. It's one of those games we put up there with playing New Bern. It's a big challenge.

 The ride that we've had with this group has been unbelievable. I've had two of my favorite years of coaching because of them. The time, score or situation doesn't matter to them. They just keep playing and playing and playing. That's why they've changed the face of Canisius women's basketball.

 I don't know how long it takes to break a drought, but we're in a lot better shape than we were last year. It was a nice rain event and a good start for August. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection.

 They're my favorite singers, and their style is my favorite, ... I always loved it, from early, early on. I can remember coming down the steps when I was 10 years old, and I'd here Sinatra in my house, or Bobby Drain, and my father would be playing them. It just kind of got ingrained in me, and it just grew on me.
