 This game is always a big one. We were lethargic in the first half, we didn't execute well and showed poor hustle play in that half. But we played better in the second half. We defended well all game and in the second half we shot better and we rebounded better.

 In the first half I thought we were just a little lethargic. That created a little bit of a gap. In the second half they only got four offensive rebounds and we played our tails off. We just couldn't make shots drop.

 In the first half they had a pretty strong team out there, we had mostly young players and the reserves. They edged the first half and probably deserved to be up 1-0 at halftime. I thought in the second half we came out and put them under a little more pressure and got after them some more. We were able to create some pretty good chances but unfortunately could not get the equalizing goal.

 Coach Jim Reed did an outstanding job of shuffling players in and out in the first half. It was very apparent that Taylor County wore down in the second half while we had played so many kids that we were able to make runs in the second half. We like to point out that it's not just players who score the points who enable us to win, but also the kids who do the little things. But we do like the kids who can score as well.

 I was pleased with the adjustment we made at halftime. I was also pleased with our ability to compete on the basketball floor in the second half. That was something we had to do. We had to step it up a notch at halftime. ... It was exciting to see that kind of explosive offensive performance in that short amount of time in the second half.

 We deserved to win this game. It was a game we needed to win and we deserved to win it because of the way we started to play.  They did a nice job really to lull us to sleep in the first half. There were doing what they needed to do. We decided to press in the second half. We did that just to get things moving which was what we needed.

 I asked the players for a performance tonight and I felt the players played well. We needed a wee bit of luck. Did we deserve a point? I thought the performance was terrific but whether we deserved a point is for others to decide.

 First half to second half we struggled with their half-court defense. We were 3-for-17 from the field in the first half. We turned things around in the second half. It was a great team effort.
