In a strange way this domestic surveillance controversy also allows him to return to the terrorism-national security message.

 Terrorism is our common enemy. If the Iraq war is a part of the war on terror, we cannot combat terrorism with terrorism.

 Interestingly the BOJ hasn't intervened where it last intervened and that confirms our view that they haven't drawn a line in the sand and they want to slow the pace of appreciation.
