 We know that Americans are consuming their media across different platforms. Although nothing will duplicate the shared experience of watching a big event like the Olympics on television, the reality is that people are on the go and at their desks. Our objective was to create deep and compelling and rich offerings of Olympic coverage on these mobile applications -- and I'm including the Internet with that.

 But it's also got a lot of humor. My attraction to it [the show] was that, not only was it smart and compelling, but it also had moments of humanity and humor. These characters are very colorful, and most of the best drama happens when there also is humor. So I think it's really smart that you're going to be able to laugh and maybe be scared for these characters, maybe even cry at some point.

 It allowed us to have some independent, objective voice that corroborated some of the things we all knew.

 We're entering an era where delivery platforms mean less and less to an audience. The consolidation of these networks within the broadcast business speaks to the consolidation of power within the hands of station owners and the general entertainment conglomerates, but underneath that is a fundamental sea change in the way younger consumers experience media. They won't feel limited, because they can reach out in so many ways to get content. We're not in an age anymore where content distribution is limited to broadcast stations.

 Dealing with young people, it's always a new experience. You never know if they're ready until they get out there. As long as they play with great effort, I'm happy. The injuries have allowed us to give some guys opportunities.

 It's been an adventure. But really, it's an opportunity for us to be surrounded by all kinds and styles of entertainment. We're a group of creative people in an environment of creativity, which inspires us to create even more.

 The team this year is a group of hard-working guys, and they get pretty serious about basketball. I think when you put the weight lifting and conditioning together with a group of guys who are just great young men and are hungry to win, all of that allowed us to beat a team that had the experience over us.
