 [But there is no doubt how Rivers feels about Allen.] Before Danny signed me on as coach, I told him, 'All I know is if Tony Allen's around, wherever I am I'm taking him (in the draft),' ... Danny said, 'He's my guy, too.'

 Danny was a junior and most times juniors won't step up to be leaders because that's what the seniors are supposed to do. Danny took control of the team right away. You can tell kids feed right off of Danny.

 This (Oregon program) is a little different beast than the Oregon and Oregon State teams of the early '90s.  Danny is battling. Danny is competing. I think Danny is thinking too much.

 Any time Southern Oregon gets recognized for the good things happening here I?m pleased. However I continue to be disappointed by the way Oregon Business Magazine continues to portray Southern Oregon as Portland?s country cousin.

 The coach told me I had to step up when Danny Cloud went out. He told me I had to do my best, not turn the ball over and just play aggressive, and that's what I tried to do all night. Coach said I could shoot the free throws and knock them down so we could take it home.

 I'm looking forward to it. It's not me against them. It will be Hoboken against High Tech. But the hardest thing about all of this will be coaching against those girls. But High Tech is giving me a chance to coach and I have to take it.

 She loves Danny and Danny loves Michelle and that's really, truly the bottom line. I know that Michelle and Danny deserve this chance. They're working hard for it.

 I knew I always wanted the chance to play for Danny. When I was with the Edmonton Eskimos and he was an assistant coach with Calgary, I wasn't dressing my first year and he was in the spotter's booth and he'd always tell me: 'It's a good league. Be patient.' Just those little words of encouragement meant a lot. When he became a head coach, I had the urge to play for him just once in my career.
