We're disappointed because we gezegde

 We're disappointed because we didn't deserve to lose this derby. It's a shame we lost a game like tonight's one just because of a small mistake. We played well, but unfortunately the result didn't go our way.

 We had our opportunities, but we just didn't get the job done. Lindsay was outstanding, she didn't deserve to lose. It's a shame someone has to lose a game like this.

 I'm disappointed with our effort tonight. I didn't feel that we played hard until midway through the second half. You can't do that and expect to win. This is a 40-minute game. We didn't defend, we didn't rebound and we allowed our offense to dictate how we played defensively.

 Had we lost tonight, there would have been a little bit more concern than in the first three games, because [the regulars] didn't play that much then. Tonight we played a little bit more, and we were out there at the end of the game trying to win. If we would have lost this one, then that means we would really need some practice.

 This was no D.C. United I know, ... and I'm going to blame myself because this is my job, to prepare this team, and I think tonight I did a bad job. L.A. didn't win the game tonight, we lost this game. Because we didn't fight, we didn't run, we were too predictable and not creative enough.

 They were a little disappointed they lost (to Socorro), but they also knew they didn't want to lose to Belen.  I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

 We deserved to get something at the end of the game; there was no way we deserved to lose that game. I don't think we deserved a draw either. We had some chances; we could have scored four that we could have scored. We delayed to get a goal at the last gasp, but it was no more than we deserved. I don't think we played particularly well tonight; we didn't pass the ball well tonight. We just didn't defend well last week; we played some good stuff last week. We still created a real load of chances.

 In the beginning we just came out a little sluggish. We didn't want to injure them before a big game. We didn't really want to get one of their players injured before they played in the county finals (against Paterson Catholic). At halftime I looked at the score and I didn't like it. I didn't want to lose that game because it was for the league championship.

 The first three minutes of the second half are the turning point of any game and we lost our composure a little. Our guards struggled a little and were awfully passive. They didn't take it to the hole. We lost our composure and just panicked. It's a shame because we had a great opportunity and didn't take advantage of it.

 Wow, I didn't know we were up that much. I knew we were up a lot. It's frustrating to lose this game, especially a game we had to have. Washington lost tonight so we could have made up ground.

 L.A. didn't win the game tonight -- we lost this game because we didn't fight, we didn't run, we were too predictable and not creative enough, ... We weren't hungry for those three points.

 It's hard to lose a game — period. We didn't finish. You look at the statistics and we didn't deserve to win.
