The Rules of Golf gezegde

 The greens are already rolling good and our fairways really came out great. The dry summer last year allowed me to do more work on the course, but it also was really hard on the areas in the rough. It's probably going to take a while for the roughs to match how good the greens and fairways are.

 I like the course. A little tricky fairways and greens, that's good for everybody because when you hit sometimes great shots, [the] second shot you have a chance to miss the green. Very similar for the greens because [there's] never a flat green. Every shot [is] always a surprise, the kick of the ball.

 Hickory Ridge is a difficult golf course. If you don't hit the ball in the fairway, you can get in a lot of trouble. Our girls did a great job dealing with its small greens and rolling fairways.

 There's really two - two things that happened - two areas ... in terms of things blowing up. One is our day-ahead scheduling practices and then the other is our real-time operations. Um, we've been doing and have been doing for two years a lot of activity in, you know, there's black, there's white and there's gray. Um, we have been endeavoring into the gray area when opportunities present themselves to make money. We have now moved out of the gray area into the clearly what's legal area ... not even legal, but what's, um, there's like the letter of the law, the letter of the rules and the spirit of the rules. Um, we've been exploiting the letter of the rules - or literally interpreted - interpreting the rules, um, in California when we can make money ...

 There were lakes in the middle of the fairways where your landing area would be on two or three holes. And there's nowhere to drop the ball to get relief without compromising the integrity of the drop. So the rules were really compromised. It's just not a good competition that way.

 We don't usually play golf courses this straightforward. The rough is thick, but the greens and fairways won't be this wet and dewy when we play it.

 When I first saw the course 18 years ago, it was so intimidating. It was a new style of golf, a new concept. So it took some time for guys to learn to like it. It's a great venue, because it's the most precise golf we have to play all year. You have to hit fairways and greens there. There's none of this hit-four-out-of-14-fairways-and-still- shoot-68 on that golf course.

 It's a good test of golf. It's a little windy out there, a lot of rough, narrow fairways and small greens.

 The firmness of the fairways certainly brings the field a little bit closer and the long hitters, their balls are going to be running off the fairway into the rough. So it certainly closes the gap. If it was wet, I'd be hitting two more clubs iron-wise into the greens, and then it would be really tough.

 This is not to say that standards have been dropped, and in some areas they've been toughened up. There are tougher rules, for example, in the areas of solvency margins, and there is a new committee to bring all those regulators together.

 The difference between here and Augusta is that the fairways are a little tighter here and the rough is a lot thicker. Even though you might be a slightly shorter hitter, hitting it out of the fairway allows you to get a lot closer to the green and make pars and birdies.

 There are areas where China plays by the rules and areas where they don't.
