And unless you're spending a lot of time to create another image to counteract that image, theirs will win. So right now, I'm kind of dealing with a lot of false ideas of what I'm about.

 I wasn't involved in the casting at that state, but I think it was a good idea. I think she's one of those actresses where you can dress her up or dress her down. She can be very beautiful or very ordinary- looking and I think that's really important with Bridget. And I've heard she's very funny, but I've never met her.

 I thought that in light of the new era that we were ushering in, there would be no better indication of the fact that the players and the league are working together to move things forward that the best indication of that would be to have Ted here. And perhaps even more important, I thought it was important for the governors to hear what's on the players' mind.

 I feel like if they want us to dress a certain way, they should pay for our clothes. It's just tough, man, knowing that all of a sudden you have to have a dress code out of nowhere. I don't think that's going to help the image of the league at all. ... It kind of makes it fake. The whole thing is fake.

 We recognize how important this kind of question is to viewers of the show. It is very, very, very important to us. But it is a secondary issue and we are not past the primary issue yet.

 I can't tell you how many flight attendants came up to me and told me we have the nicest team in the league to fly with. To me, how they treat people is more important than how they dress. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive.

 For years, our league has been under scrutiny for how we adopted hip-hop and stuff like that. It's always been easier to put this league under a microscope. The whole league learned a lot of important things from this incident. It took this to really open up the books, but it gave us a new perspective on how we're looked at. And I think that's for the best.

 I don't think the commissioner had any race intentions whatsoever with the new dress code. I just think he's trying to improve the image.

 To have CSC here is very important because we have an American sponsor, ... This team has a certain image, and it's important to show it over here (in the United States). ... And bringing Ivan here really brings out our image. He's the main man here in the race.

 It's funny. You just kind of roll with the punches, try to get as many years in as possible and try to win. The most important part for me is having fun at what I'm doing. I've thought about things so much in the past and stressed myself out. I've got to put up numbers here (in Florida) and there (in Toronto).

 I did get informed that they're going to be fined. The league has an image to protect. I thought the officials did a really good job of defusing what could have been a pretty intense situation. Unfortunately, two good players did not get to play an important game.

 Personally, I do not feel that the issue of sexual assault and rape on university campuses ever receives the amount of attention it deserves. So it is really important there are events like Take Back the Night to bring attention to such an important issue.
