 He made a tearful apology, and that's the first indication I've had from that family that they regret anything that happened.

 I have sifted through the continuing reports of the incident and what happened that day. I am astonished by the fog (of confusion) and there's no way, without having been on the ground, to really determine what happened.

 The guilt just kept me up at night after that happened but I've got to err on the side of protecting my family. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. I don't want anybody to go to jail, but I don't want anyone to shoot me, either.
