 Without him, it makes us a little bit more of a half-court basketball team. We're going to have to be able to execute in the half court.

 They didn't used to execute as well in the half-court (offense). Wendy's done a really good job of getting the kids to execute in the half-court. It used to be one or two passes and put it up. They never had to do anything else. But they've really made an adjustment. They're really playing very good basketball now. They've taken the hits with all the injuries and built something.  Ultimately, it comes down to a half-court game. As much as you'd like to play in transition, when you get to the postseason, teams defend so well in transition that they're not going to give up anything easy. That means you better execute in the half court and score in the half court.

 I think this team thrives in the half court, more than the first three or four years I was here, when our offense was in the open court, and we struggled in the half court. I think we can score in both situations.

 She is the best high school player I've seen in a very long time. I like to think we're a decent half-court defensive team. It depends on our opponent ... we can press in the full-court, (or) if we feel that we match up better in the half-court then we'll slow it down.

 We were doing a half-court press. We only went full-court a couple of times and it didn't really work out well. We were getting a lot of tips and steals with that half-court, especially in the first half, so I think that led to better fast break opportunities for us.

 First half to second half we struggled with their half-court defense. We were 3-for-17 from the field in the first half. We turned things around in the second half. It was a great team effort.

 This team is better in the half court by far. There is no comparison to that. Our fast break wasn't as strong as those teams. (But) in the playoffs, it is more of a half-court game. So I like our chances with this team.

 Middleton is an excellent basketball team. They did a great job on Weddle. In turn, our guys played well defensively. We went to our full-court press and half-court man-to-man in the third quarter when we were down by 11.

 I liked it when they were pressing us full court. We broke through that. But in our half-court set we were very impatient. There was a five-minute period there where we took no good shots. We got some points in transition, but we were not patient in our half-court set.

 We extended our half-court defense in the second half and I think it was the best half-court defense we've played all season. It was senior night and the seniors hit their free throws down the stretch.

 We moved from a full-court press to a half-court press after the half. They were just too fast for us. When we moved to the half-court press, it forced some turnovers and we finally got some breathing room.

 We're definitely not a perfect team. We can make better choices in the half-court offense, execute better. We can always rebound better. I think that's something we can definitely work on.

 We're not a team of breakdown individuals. We're much more a team of execution. We're going to have to work on execution tomorrow, the next day and continue. It's fine when we're running. It's not quite as fine in the half-court set. Yet I've seen us in the half-court set be brilliant. I'm not sure we truly have a guy we would run five plays in a row for.
