 There's a portion of the Tar River in the lower part of Pitt County that floods real bad with a large tidal surge and we used it to notify people that it was a possibility their area could flood.

 There are four main areas of concern where manatees tend to live. The northeast or upper St. Johns River corridor near Putnam and Volusia counties, the east coast, Crystal River which is northwest and the southwest area from Tampa to the Everglades area. Two of those areas, the two small ones, Crystal River and the upper St. Johns River, are doing well in those regions.

 You used to look out this front window and there was nothing but woods and fields between here and North River Road.

 The money was used to reforest woodland areas, plant grass on fields that had a soil erosion problem, and to do controlled burns in longleaf pine stands to improve habitat for wildlife, ... The funding for 2006 hasn't been finalized yet. Last year we received $110,000.

 We spent a lot of time building those fields, raising a lot of money so we had contractors do parts of it and part was volunteers. Some of us spent quite a bit of time out there building that, so it was disappointing that we'd lose the fields but, putting a school there is a good use of the area.

 Anytime we can get more fish into the river it's a good thing. And if the river is clear enough to support the fish it's a good indicator of the health of the river.

 The study only looked at teaching and social working fields, but you can absolutely extrapolate to other fields that aren't in high paying but are important to communities ... We're concerned that overall college graduates with loan debt are getting priced out of those fields.

 Everyday that we do not get significant precipitation, the potential of the wheat crop from a grain standpoint is going down. The sooner we get the precipitation the better. In some fields, we're already past the critical stage and other fields we're coming upon it.

 The oil fields are the property of the Iraqi people, and if a coalition of forces goes into those oil fields, we would want to protect those fields and make sure that they are used to benefit the people of Iraq and are not destroyed or damaged by a failing regime on the way out the door,

 Weather conditions over the past couple of weeks have generally been favorable, but the crop still has not been able to reach a stable level of improved condition. Growth for the younger fields has been good. Some older fields have not developed as well as producers would have expected. This may cause some fields to be abandoned.
